Hey there,
I hope you receive this message,
I have experienced the exact same symptoms as you. All have past except for the chest pain and discomfort. Are you better now? How long did the chest pain last? I hope you are doing well, and hope you respond. This chest pain gives me so much anxiety.
Best,
J
besides the heart flutters... my mistake, my anxiety was so bad first days i couldnt go to school, yet heart never hurt....
i took 750mg vicodin for only 3 weeks, and ive had anxiety so bad for the past 5 days, and hallucinations the first two days, thats all very easily possible, since it happened to me.
Strange symptoms. I am a former drug addict and have a degree in psychology, so I know alot about drugs. You were not on the Vicodin very long, and 5/500 is an average dose. There are much higher doses than that. You might be having some kind of withdrawal, but I'll be honest most people do not exhibit those kind of withdrawal symptoms from Vicodin over that short period of time. The chest pains don't make sense. Are you sure you were only taking 2-4 per day? Not accusing you of anything, just want to make sure, because Vicodin, although addicting, is not that addicting over a short period of time unless you are going heavy on the medicine. Are you allergic to codeine/hydrocodone? That might be the problem, and you could have developed an allergry to the medicine even though you might not have seen these problems when you first started taking it. I would go to the doctor and get it checked out. It's rare to hallucinate on Vicodin unless you have been abusing the medicine. Vicodin is not a bad drug at all, but it can be if it is abused. I'm sorry about all your symptoms. Are you taking any other medications besides the Vicodin? I ask this because there could be some kind of interaction taking place. If it is withdrawal it will go away quickly because you have not been on the medicine for very long or in high doses. Drink lots of water and eat a healthy diet. Don't drink! Your symptoms seem a bit extreme, and I don't think it is the Vicodin causing it, I could be wrong, but I would be very surprised. Go see your doctor about this because something else might be going on. Good luck to you!
Your having anxiety plus withdrawal. Unfortunately that happens. The nights are the wost. It will get better. Consult your doctor.
you should at least check your blood pressure, stopping opiates will cause a high blood pressure and sometimes tachycardia..
well the slurring of my words have got better. but now im jst having realy bad heart murmurs that last all night along with chest and neck pain.
it more started when i stoped taking the vicodin. the heart thing is the only thing im having problems with. i dont have a family dr. just my babys pediatricion with i am going to switch anyways. i dont want to go to the hospital because.. because of my age the doctors with prly just laugh it off. i am 21. but i am thinking that i probley need some kind of test done because i have never felt this before with my heart it is realy scary and it happens out of no where for hours at a time. just weird painful flutters.
It sounds like withdrawals and everybody has different kinds of feelings coming off pain meds like vicodins and any bad flu like feelings and physical effects should be over in a weeks time with days 3,4, and 5 the worst for most. But if your feeling heart pains, slurring and some numbing i would have already called and checked with my doctor on that, you dont want to guess with those feelings. Let us know how you make out. Remember, there are no doctors on this forum giving you advice.
did this start when you were still taking the vicodin or when you stopped?
some of your symptoms sound like w/d, some don't. are you still having them now, and if so, which ones?
