Are people every ok after vic addiction

I wrote for the first time yesterday because I have been taking 1 and a half vic for 10 months for headaches and was really afraid to stop because of all of the horrible things I have read about withdrawls. For what ever reason I have never had the desire to take more (prob fear because I knew I would like it). Anyway, I got such great information and some reasurrance that the withdrawl probubly would not be too bad. I am still feeling really scared anyway.  I have been reading from others and just want to know is it ever going to be okay again? The funny thing was I smoked for 9 years and one day just stopped, and it was fine. Then I developed a nasty drinking problum, I would drink a big bottle of vodka almost everynight for about 14 months and kind of got caught and stopped that as well but for some reason I am just so afraid of how I will feel not taking vic. I could really use some input. Thanks for reading.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  I hope you start to feel better soon.  I'm on day 17 c/t off of a huge oxy habit and I have a bit of anxiety left but I'm sleeping alot better and I have some energy back.  I actually did some dishes a couple of days ago.  It took me a while to get them all done but for the first week and a half I couldn't do them at all.  I didn't want to do anything.  I know exactly what you are goin' through.  I'm here for you anytime.  If I don't see your post immediately, I'll reply back as soon as I log on.  Take it one day at a time, one minute at a time if you have to.  The busier you are the better you will feel.  If you can go swimming in a pool, lake, beach, it makes the body feel way better and is very refreshing and it takes your mind off of the pills for a long while, I can assure u.  My thoughts and prayers are with you sweetie,

Hugz,

Lil.

PS. My email and yahoo messenger is laffy_taff_lil_rabby at yahoo dot com.  Email me anytime :)
