drug dreams

Last night I had my first "drug dream" since I quit this time. Ive had em before, anyone have LOTS of years sober and have this go away? The longest Ive ever been clean was 18 months. I remember having the dreams then too.

YES, lol, I have them all the time. Only when in withdrawal. Never, when I am taking them. I dream that I have unlimited supplies or dream that I am frantically searching for them. Its weird.....

hee hee. Too bad I don't know how to cook it. My mom is Peruvian, and my Dad is Serbian, so they tried to raise me as American as apple pie. I mean we still carried a lot of traditions, but they didn't even speak their languages around me. But the food is delicious!

Thats an awesome way of looking at it. In my culture dreams are really important and significant. I was always taught to pay close attention to them, and (like you said) take something from them.

Mine last night was a girl who was supposed to give me 4 vicodins forgot them at home but reached into a bag of seashells and said "here, take these instead, (and proceeded to hand me a few shells) this one is from where my husbands buried, this one's for my child", etc...
I didnt wake up wanting to use or anything, i love my dreams, I always seem to take something away from them and what I took from that was she was telling me not to take the meds, to try something else. :)

I have known people clean for 20 years or more and they still have the drug dreams. But it doesn't mean that they bother them any more. It's just something that they deal with. I would have the weirdest ones though. Like pills were falling from the trees into my mouth..lol
