Need help/advise with methadone detox

I went on methadone 14 yrs ago when I became pregnant with my daughter. She saved my life when I found out I was pregnant and found the courage to get off the streets and become a responsible mom to her. I have been on the methadone program since then. I desperately want off of it!!! Well, I had to miss a day to pick up my meds. at the clinic. I went down today and they are closed all the way through to Tues. If you miss 3 days in a row they put you off the clinic! I am really scarred! I am now seeing everything I have worked sooo hard for just crashing down in front of me. My job, where I work in a medical office doing nursing (I put myself through school.) I have a feeling I am going to be faced with detoxing and I am scarred to death about this because I still have to function and work on order to keep all I have fought for! Any and ALL advise welcome!!!!!!! I live in New Jersey.

You should be able to call and leave a message about missing one and forgetting about the holiday schedule. Someone from the clinic should call you back if you tell them you are out of M'done. My clinic (TX) gives 14 days to miss before having you start over. Everyone misses a day here and there so dont get your self freaked out over this. If your UA's come back clean and you have been a patient for a long time, they will work with you.  IF THIS IS A PRIVATE CLINIC THEY WANT YOUR MONEY.

I'm would think if they're closed because of the hoilyday that they'd understand or at least cut you some slack.  If you've been on the clinic for that long and been a great patient then hopefully you'll be alright.
Are you saying you want to get off methadone, or your scared their going to detox you?
