How 'bout Soma addiction?

Does anyone know anything about effects of Soma withdrawals on body? I take way too many, couldn't really tell you how many right now, would have to do inventory?bad, huh? What sucks though is that my hydrocodone(4x a day 325acetaminophen/7.5) does not help me much with my low back pain unless coupled with the soma.Even if I take ibuprofen with the soma it helps better than if I take ibuprofen alone or tylenol, take soma with it and it helps. I know I cannot be alone on this one. Please, am I?Liza

I forgot to tell you YOU ARE NOT ALONE on the relief from using the vicodin along with the soma. THAT was the only thing that relieved my muscle pain (fibromyalgia), low back pain and widespread osteoarthritis. It was the ONLY combination that allowed me to do my VERY PHYSICAL job that I had. BUT, I retired a year ago and I figure I am not working WHY do I need these drugs. I can lie down anytime I am in a lot of pain so I decided myself to come off the drugs. My Dr. does not want me off of them. WHY would he, then I wouldn't need him. :) But my Pharmacist friend told me how to C/T off the vicodin and so far so good on that. Anyway, just wanted to tell you maybe you should try and go off the vicodin first. That's what my Pharmacist guy told me. He also told me to use an over the counter sleep aid that is not addicting called Unisom, I think. :) Man it really works for me but then I take a soma a couple hours before that and sleep straight thru the night. OK hope this helps. BUT BELIEVE YOU ME you are not alone in with this conversation. :) Later Precious

I am taking celexa for antoi-depressant but stopped taking the soma and hydrocodone and am feeling really awful right now, want to cry and go away by myself to an island and just watch the ocean for days on end. Can't do that so now what?!Thanks though because 11 years ago, I had herniated discs in my neck and have thought maybe the meds have been masking the return of that and by not taking them, that is what is causing the zings. Good to know it is not.

I have been on soma/vicodin 5/5.00mg  4-6 of EACH per day for seven years. I just recently C/T on the vicodin. I am still taking the Soma, however, and probably take 3-4 a day. I do 1/2 at a time. I have low back pain and ALL over muscle pain and it does seem to help. I am SO glad to be off of the vicodin. I am thinking of getting an above ground pool for my muscles and get off this drug, too. I HATE being on this stuff. But my Rheumatologist told me I would have to go to rehab to get off the Soma???and probably the vicodin. GO FIGURE....I C/T the vicodin which was unpleasant for about 3-4 days...Now I am researching coming off the Soma. I WILL do it as am tired of these drugs running my life. OK let me know if you find an easy way to stop it. I really haven't tried the C/T yet. Guess I am just making sure I can stay off the vicodin first. OK later Precious

I have not taken any soma for 4 days now and am having incredible electrical zings in my face, head, arms and hands whenever I turn my head too quickly or bend over; none of that? a little scared but feel it must all be related somehow.
