I suffer from RSD and have been on various opiates and several other meds. Recently, my new (3 mos) pain doc took me off of tramadol which just left me with morphine, percoset and lyrica to deal with 24/7/365 pain.
At month end I was low on meds and resorted to "street drugs" which turned up in a drug screen at a doctor's visit. I now have to detox with just clonodine and lyrica which just won't manage my pain. It sure would be nice if the DEA would stay out of our business and doctors would prescribe adequate medication both pre and post operatively. 99 percent of us aren't addicts and shouldn't be treated as such. I now have to see an addiction specialist for taking medications that provided no euphoria, just relief from horrendous intractable pain.

Hi Brighty,
I left a message on Kacey's board, which apparently was ignored and then deleted, so I deleted Kacey's messages on this forum.
I agree that the whole thing looks bogus to me and we also resent being ripped off.
Regards,
Phil
Hi Kacey,
I just went to the site you recommended. I found identical copies of old postings from this forum in THAT forum but with today's date ( 5-06-00) on them !!! I am curious.. did you start a new forum ?? Looks like a good format but I am wondering how comments from here got over there ?
I'm no expert on clonidine, but I'm pretty sure that the withdrawels are from the pills not the clonidine. I am going on four weeks without any pills and I am still suffering from withdrawels. Last night I really wanted some for of pain pill. But I know all this will pass, and taking any narcotic will just start me all over again. If I were him I would stay on the clonidine if it helps, for a little while more. I'm still taking clonidine and still having withdrawel, so I don't think it's the clonidine. Tell him to hang in there. Read my post a few questions down, and some of the answers , that should help.
