Day Four

This is day four for me.  I am luckily off work today.  The w/d's are much better today and I actually got some pretty good sleep last night.  Still a bit achy.  My head is clearing up.  Can't wait until this thing is over.  Today is the day the Percs are available again.  I WON'T get them this time.  I am on the way to recovery.  I know 4 days doesn't seem like much, but if I relapse, it could mean more years of torture.

I starded with Perc's. Always thought I could deal with the w/d's, and did for a couple years no problem. They definatly get worse each time. 4 days is great, hang in there.

Thanks.  How long do you think until it is finally over?  My dose was about 60 mgs a day.  Doesn't sound like much, but it was overwhelming.

A day, is the key I think. No matter how much you do if you do it every day you build a dependancy. 60mg in my expierience's, after 7-10 days your w/d's will subside and then you just need to beat the mental mind %&#@. Dreaming about them, thinking about them, how about quiting them!

A day is the key indeed.  How can I be so worried about one...two..three..whatever days of recovery when I have spent years in this situation. A day, indeed.  And I will be proud when my day comes that I am not afraid of just days (weeks) of recovery, after YEARS of silent suffering.

Thanks for your post and your words that it is possible.
Hopes, and dreams and the possibilities of it all!
