Yes you are right about twice a day so I'm doing just once a day and see how it works for me.
Thanks

Well I typed out this long reply to you and it's lost somewhere in cyber space, LOL!! Anyway I was on Wellbrutrin a few years back and it was actually given to me to stop smoking and it worked until I stopped taking it, lol!!
I did notice a huge difference in my energy levels and no weight gain at all. The only thing that concerns me about your dosage is taking it 2x per day. I had to take it in the morning otherwise I couldn't sleep at night!! If I were you I would take the dose that your doctor suggested for 2 weeks, to give your body time to adjust and if you have problems sleeping then you need to talk with your doctor so that perhaps he can reduce you down to once per day.
Everyone is different but I think you will like the results of this med. The one and only thing that I noticed while taking it was that I was always thirsty so I just carried bottled water with me so that I wouldn't be tempted to drink empty calories!!

Wellbutrin (buproprion) actually has some promise as being useful as a weight loss tool according to some studies. But generally it's well known for comparatively not causing as much weight gain as other antidepressants.

Welbutrin worked GREAT for me when i was on it.. and no weight gain.

took a lower dose (100mg) as any more made me "speedy." that was just me...

i took it for a few months when i really needed it (not when I was on Sub though) and it was truly, a life saver for me.

i felt nothing but better.  i had no adverse side effects from it either...

I really didn't have a problem with lexapro the thing is that I was gaining a lot of weight and it made me so sleepy all day long like really sleepy, now I have to be fair and say that the sleepiness could be the combo lexapro and trileptal (mood stabilizer) I was put on trileptal 4 months ago when I started sub then 3 months ago lexapro and since then I gained 15 pounds I know is not the meds fault is my mouth that puts the food but still my doctor says it could be

All of these psychotropic drugs are powerful.  Both Prozac and Cymbalta made me suicidal after just a few days of taking the med.  The inclination went away right away I stopped those meds.  Just be very aware of how your body is reacting to the med and you will know if its right for you...  I always read about possible side effects (via Internet) so I can be on the lookout for them.

I think with any of these meds, one has to try them and see if they work..my wife was on wellbutrin a couple years ago and did not like it at all..it changed her whole personality and at one point I was going to take her to the hospital because she was talking suicide.  Whe went to the doctor and they got her off them right away.

That's not to say it will effect you that way..like I say with these meds it's trial and error..see what does and does not work for you...I know a lot of people who have been on it for years with no problems at all.

I forgot something....I always take my dosage (150 mg.) in the morning because it can cause sleeping problems if taken later in the day.  My doctor warned me of this.  A couple of times, I have taken it in the afternoon, and sure enough I had trouble getting to sleep that night.  Ok...I'm done now.

Wow...this is right up my alley.  I used to take Lexapro and found that it didn't work for me at all.  It made me feel lethargic and even more depressed than before.  Then my doc switched me to Wellbutrin and it is fantastic for me.  I am allergic to Cymbalta and Prozac.  Finally, I have found an anti-depressant that works beautifully for me.  I also have several friends who are on this med.  I can only speak for myself, but it gets high marks from me...very high.

As far as drug interaction with suboxone, I cannot say, but you can research this combo via the Intranet, or better still, I find it amazing how helpful the pharamacist is at Walgreens.  They can check contraindications with mixing meds in a nannosecond.  I use their expertise all the time!!  Anyway, good luck and I am a living testimony to Wellbutrin.  I was severely depressed before this med and now I'm almost never depressed.  I feel consistently good day after day.  That's my input.
