Oh...you're one of THOSE mommies!!!!!LOLGlad to see you back! You put me to shame. I use whatever I have around the house or buy things for the kids costumes!!!! They have never complained (because they don't know any better) but I'm not exactly the domesticated type of Mommy that can create a costume! I sometimes borrow from my mother-in-laws attic (she's the epitome of domestication) and she has tons of costumes! Or I recycle the costumes that my older ones wore!
My husband, on the other hand, creates his costumes too! My 8 yr old wants to be a dead soccer player (nothing dainty or girly for her) Works for me....a little pretend blood, a ripped jersey and some black and white makeup and Voila!!!!! My 6 year old is going to be a fairy too! Old ballet outfit, buy some wings and Poof! (I love your hubbies idea too!!!!!)
Have fun! Enjoy the candy!!!!
I love to dress up too!
this year my girls are saying that it's embarrassing for me to put on a costume! yeesh!
They are going to be faires (it's the theme of the year!) One is a wood fairly and the other is a bubble fairy. I made the cutest costumes! It's going to be great.
My husband is goig to be a cell phone. HE made the costume. He sprayed a big cardboard box gray and made buttons on a tee shirt. I made him an attena hat.
I'm going to be a gypsy. It's an old costume that I'm re-doing (it's the only thing that fits me now! lol)
candy candy candy!!
My kids are old enough to eath the candy but guess what....I've stolen from people's medicine cabinets....you think I won't steal candy from my kids!!!!!!LOL I'm really doing it for their own good so their teeth don't rot out of their head! HEEHEE!
RX bottle?......HMMMM.....I'll give that one some thought! I am actually going to be a vampire.....I always do that or some variation.....I have a great black cape so that is the easiest thing to do!
My husband goes all out every year.....he was a water cooler one year (never again....he couldn't walk) and he was "Tinky-Winky" (for those of you w/o kids that is a teletubby!) last year. He really does get embarrassing but he is truly a kid at heart! My favoirite was when he was a nun. The orthopedic shoes coupled with the hairy legs in black stockings and 5 oclock shadow, made the costume!
Sorry.....just reminiscing!
i don't need rachel...i've got my own source. i'm taking my grandson, connor, who is 2 1/2...lol
EXACTLY!! What's your address, I'll share!
lolol...why else would a parent take their 1 year old trick or treating?
I actually HATE Halloween.... I must have had something happen in my childhood that I'm totally blocking out. LOL Also my very religious mother always reminded me that it was a Pagan holiday.
I need to shut up. I'm bringing everyone down. LOLOL
My daughter is going to be a rainbow lion. But I doubt the costume will be successful since I can't keep anything on her head so we'll see. After I get her dressed and take pictures, which I'll have to do immediately before the costume gets destroyed, I'll post them.
Have a safe one everyone!
PS, the GREAT thing about having a 1 year old is that ALL of the candy is for ME!!!
LOL,....I don't know, but it sure made me laugh and put a big smile on my face!!!
BOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what would we do without beach's "wicked" sense of humor?
so what are you going out as this yr a Big RX bottle.......lol
I soo know that feeling!! Its gonna be wonderful:) I too, also did that. Whenever I did anything I had to pill up to be ready and I would be counting the time I was gonna be gone so id know if I had enough on me to get me through the event so that I would be my happy, energized, go lucky self. This year, I'm STILL gonna be all that, but be pill free!!
