HELP ME somebody please!  I am day 6 of coming off of 2 mg suboxone after a 2 year oxy/roxy habit.  I can't sleep, I can't stop moving, I can't relax, I can't think, I can't anything.  My muscles hurt, and it feels like there are bugs under my skin.  I read somewhere that you are never supposed to stop taking Suboxone at 2mg, but that was weaned down from 8 mg over a period of months.  Either way...I don't know what to do.  I can't afford them anymore, so I've gone cold turkey.  Help!  I have kids I need to be able to function!  What can I do?

I am SO sorry that you are going thru this, I have been there before. Have you tried taking a hot bath? Eat bananas and make sure you drink lots of water. Keep posting and just get it out, it really helps! Please let us know how you are doing.....

Nope 10 days for me... I tell people 21 days is the longest I have been told you should stay on it if you want to get off without withdrawls.. but myself got on and off in 10 days... started on a Tuesday and finished the Thursday of the next week. felt pretty bad all day Sun after stopping.. but looking back it was only sweats and chills with some restless legs.. then I woke up Monday a whole new person.. I never missed a night of sleep.. never had all the nasty symptoms.. I was very lucky.. even more lucky that my Hubby paid for it..

Hi again!

Thanks so much for trying to help me...just wanted to say I did locate some zanex, and that is kindof helping.  I took 800 mg Ibuprofen, 3 extra strength tylenol, the zanex, and a multi vitamin...I seem to be surviving.  I'm going to see how this goes for the next day...see if I need to do the same thing every 4-6 hours...although am a bit worried about my liver??  anyway, I don't know if the clonadine will help me...I already have low blood pressure, and they might see that as a danger.  Normally my blood pressure (even as a smoker and addicted) is around 90 over 50 so I think that would be a bit scary...not sure though.  I'll check into that.  The zanex is helping my mood, but not helping the restless legs.
I know people that have been on suboxone for 2 years or more...so I'm not sure about the 20 day thing?  That seems so quick...so scary.  I was weaned down from 8 mg 2 times a day to 2 mg once a day in a matter of 4 months, then ran out of money.  Also lost my apartment, and had my car repoed, all because of my addiction.  Now living in a spare bedroom in my husbands cousin's house...who, ironically is also on suboxone for a different addiction...but can't ask for any from him, he's done enough.  Scary thing though, I didn't know I was even addicted, well, until I really lost everything.  Don't know if that happens to many people!
But thank you to all, and I think I've found a wonderful support group with this forum... and I will check into clonadine tomorrow, most likely at the ER.
Thanks for everything!  Any advice you can give, or support at this point is so appreciated!

You three are truly angels.  So encouraging and caring.  Thanks for trying to help Restless.   I am relatively new and trying to get what info i can about sub myself.  So i can start the program.  Fl, i misunderstood.  I thought you stayed on sub for 20 days?    It is so awful the shape we get into with these drugs.
It is still hard for me to believe i have done this to myself.  Thank you all so much for helping all of us.  TJack

I am so sorry that you are feeling this way... at this point you are in it to win it to to speak.. 6 days in you may as well just try to hang tough..I personally did Sub treatment also.. but I only took it for 10 days to detox.. I had read anything over 3 weeks would produce physical dependence.
Do you still have a doc to see?? Can you get some clonidine?? its a blood pressure med they usually give to come off of Sub or other opiates. Do you have anyone to help care for your children?  Can you call your Sub doc and get some help with this??
I hope you can find the strength to continue on this journey to get clean...

XOXO

Hello.

I am sorry that you are having so much discomfort. I am also taking Suboxone, day 11 for me, and I am weaning down. I only want to be on them for two weeks tops so I am going off this week.
I understand that you can't afford them, they are very expensive. Also, coming off from 2 mg to cold turkey is quick.
I don't know what to tell you to do, I wish there was something majic I could say. It seems the only thing you can do is this point is deal with the withdrawals. There are many suggestions people have made in this forum on ways to make the withdrawal period a little more comfortable.

I am going to try and get in touch with a young lady in here who has experience with this. It may take me a little bit to find her, so please hang in there and either she, or I will get back to you.

In the meantime, please hang in there. Since it is a holiday weekend, I am fairly certain that you can not get in touch with your doctor. If it gets REAL bad, like if you feel your blood pressure going up, if you feel heart palpatations, or anything like that, you would be best to go to the ER. For right now, a hot bath would calm you down. If you know anyone, family member , friend, who may have xanax, they would probably help right now. Then you could phone your doctor and see if he/she will prescribe them for you. I would not condone taking others medication, it is dangerous but right now I can imagine how much you are hurting. W/D is not pretty.

Please post here in this thread, tell us a little bit about you while I try to find her.
Sometimes just typing will help. It may calm you to talk about it. How long were you taking them, etc.

Be back soon.

Bonnie
