withdrawal and suboxone

My daughter had an auto accident in June, she was presribed Lortabs 7.5 and 10 mg, she was also presribed percoset....  all during the duration of the surgery and healing...  she became addicted during recovery from the injury and continued abuse until this past Tuesday...as of today she is 4 days clean.....  yesterday was horrible...  she is mentally in pain as much or more than physically...  I am wondering how long this will last ...  she is in college and does not feel as if she can make it through these last 3 weeks of school....

my son is who is considering the suboxone option....  he has used the samr for 3-4 years...  also starting from an injury and then becoming abusive.....  I want suboxone to help him but do nat want to substitute one evil for another...

they are 19 and 21....  both are in their first year of college....  we need prayers and guidiance from God and those who can help...

what  can we expect for length of withdrawal time and from suboxone???

I have been on suboxon for one year and a few months. Just got back from 2 & 1/2 an vacation and left behind the other half of my meds so I would have them when I get back home. Had some traffic in my house with cat sitter &  repair man. MIRACULOUSLY my suboxon is missing &  not here! Yes there are withdrawal symptoms & going cold turkey is killer! Now I have to wait 4 days to get to see my doctor. NOT GOOD!!!!

im off suboxone 8 days now cold turkey after taking 16 mg a day for over a year and a half. I still have lower back pain leg pain sleepless nights and not so much mental depression considering I do have God on my side for that one. I think any doctor who prescribes for over amonth should lose their lisences cause they are just trying to make money off it regardless how the patient is going to feel. I'm over the first hump and hopefully I only have one or two more to go....HANGIN IN THERE WITH THREE YOUNG BOYS to take care of, if I can do it anybody can do it...miserable but possible good luck

There is a Sub FAQ in my profile journal that has tons of info on it from a patients point of view.

I used Sub to get off Vicodin and Oxy in June for 10 days to detox. I think when used as a tool for detox it can be great. I think more people should be leary of staying on it long term and using it as replacement therapy. Too many look at it as a miracle drug. Society thought Methadone was a miracle drug years ago too and look where we are today.  As the saying goes, You can't fight fire with fire...
