Day 9

Thank you all for your support. Another day off methadone. Don't feel as bad. It's so hard but I know it's worth it. If your new here post questions, thoughts, problems. The support is amazing. I would have used yesterday if you'll hadn't encouraged me. I have time set up with my doctor next week on Tuesday to tell him everything in person. It's hard, he's been a friend since 2003. I also called my pain management doc off. One minute at a time.

Well congrats on the 9 days! Every day you get through is one day closer to freedom. You are doing this! Keep hanging in there. I'm so glad that you will be talking to your doctor. You will feel such relief once that is done. If you can, get yourself outside in the fresh air. That will really help. Take care, and keep moving forward. All the best!

Good for you..Just take it one day at a time. It has been 2 years this month since I came off of 3 meds. I see that you & I were in kind of the same boat with the dones and the benzo too. Plus we are about the same age. I came clean at 56 but now 58. Also I was in nursing as well.
I sure will be praying that the mental will come and go out very quick. It has been a hard road for me, but it is all balancing out now. Keep on trucking forward and never look back. I also enjoy looking up Addiction in a Scientific Way now..I just read yet another good piece today..Plus I put some info in my Journal..I sure wish they knew all about this back when I was young..Ha!! SO I sure hope and pray that you will be getting all the Support you can to help  fight this Disease..As we know it can not be cured but it can go into arrest. Be Safe and Be Good to YOU!
