Your friend will hopefully seek help to get off the drugs before trying to get a job, sounds awful, but true. I know it's hard in some areas to get help, especially in an emergency situation or without insurance, but a person can literally walk into a hospital and Baker Act or Marchman Act themself to get immediate help, get off the drug, then focus on the job. Good luck to your friend.
We will pray for you. Hope your life gets better.
There are inpatient detox facilities santioned by the state through mental health that pay for people to get into detox...........
Has your friend checked into any of that?
Welcome to the group~
It's sad to see a friend go down from drugs I'm sure we've all been there. You should try to convince him that he will continue to loose his job and fail drug tests as long as he chooses to live this life. You might want to try to get him to go to an NA meeting to meet ppl that have been through this. They may be able to guide him in the right direction.
If you come back after the above,
there are also people here that care and will try to help him. You've gotta encourage your friend to get some help. I mean if he is truely your friend..
Good luck hon, and keep helping!
lol @ beach.
anyway, he will withdraw no matter what if he's doing heroin. obviously it's a REALLY dangerous drug. if he plans on quitting, it might be best for him to seek professional help.
