How much longer??!!!

I'm feeling better during the day but nights are pure hell. I didn't mention before but along with cold turkey from lortab I also stopped taking my ambien that I had taken religiously for several months as well. Had no idea you could have WD from them. Does anyone know how much longer it will be until sleep comes back? I think I've really messed myself up with this one. Any experience with stopping ambien suddenly? I really just need peace of mind at this point. I'm exhausted.

You should feel really good about it - just one of the limitless number of gifts you get when quitting!

And you'll end up getting some sleep soon - I found that after a few days of literally NO sleep I would finally crash - if only for one night at a time every few days, but it still felt great.  And soon you'll be falling asleep regularly every night.  It will happen for you you'll see!!!  Keep going - you are doing SO great (even if it does feel like that yet entirely, you ARE)  :)

if you only used for a short period id say your sleep will be back to normal soon, within the week, but if you tried takin the melitonin (i just cant spell that word lol) and it wasnt enough on its own thats same with me so i take it with 2 valerian root, 2 relora's and 2 calm vit's i think its gaba the bottle says ultimate calm on it, and i swear that helps

Aw thanks! I feel really good about it, until night comes! Do you think it could be weeks or would you say more like days until normal sleep? Just trying to get a grasp and mentally prepare myself. Remember I only used for a short period.

Girl I have tried it with really no luck! It does help me fall asleep for about an hour and a half then I'm awake again! It really has been the worst part of it all and I can't help but think if I still was taking ambien it wouldn't be this bad. I could kick myself!

Congrats on 7 days!!!  That is fantastic!!  And I know, the loss of sleep is awful, all I can tell you is that it will return eventually - seems to be different for everyone as far as when, but it will go back to normal.  Don't have any real experience with the ambien though, but I'm sure other members here do and they'll offer their knowledge with that.

But I really just wanted to congratulate you!!!  :)
