Hydrocodone Witdrawel Day 3

Hello to all. I just wanted to post and say that I am on day 3 of hydrocodone withdrawal(some oxycodone all for lower back pain). During my 2 plus year addiction I have done this withdrawel hell to many times. This going to be the last. I am having really rough nights and mornings because I can't get to sleep and I am self medicating to get to sleep. My goal is to get away from putting all of this stuff, supplements, other perscription drugs like flexeril which is all I have to knock me out. Supplements can only do so much for me, I am out of xanax, but I want to stick it out I don't want any more perscriptions of my own. I have been depressed, tried St. Johns wort which works very very mildly for me right now (I started it before I went cold Turkey for about a month.)

Anyhow my head is still very cloudy, depression is there and I know it will get better but it is just great to see you all hear for support. This is the first time I have done this as I am trying to be more pro-active this time around instead of re-lapsing after a month or two.  I appreciate your kind words.

Hey man, you are really doing the right thing, it is a virtual enslavement. It does not seam like you have taken an excessive amount...that said eveyone is different chemistries and I am pretty sensative.

OK here is what I suggest. If you are on day 4 then probably the worst is over. Time seems to slow down. Make some goals, like 1 month 3 month 6 month and 1 year. I have relapsed many times and am determined to do it again. I isolated myself though. Now I am being very proactive. I am posting here, talking to drug counselors. After a few weeks you will feel good. That is not a long time when you are on the ****, but when you are coming off it plays on you. Be real strong. I get depressed, you kind of have to go with it but try to put on something funny, or books you can focus on. Anything postive that you can just zone out on for a long time. I also have trouble sleeping. That is a big part of the suffering. In the past I have had xanax, and I am trying a lot of lighter **** now but it does not seem to work. I am just going to have to be tough and suck it up for another week as I am on Day 4 as well.

Since we are both on day 4, we can concievably campare notes. I just rambled a lot and I care not to edit it, so let me know yout thoughts. What are your main symptoms?

I think also, that perspective is key...it could be a lot worse, we all have necessary pain in life. I am determined for natrual high's and smooth sailing after this 2.5 year roller coaster....

Hey yeah, I had a nice evening with my girlfriend. Something I have not been able to truly enjoy because of my numbness then withdawals. I am afraid of the evenings, I have a light sedative for tonight so hopefully it will help.....

Tnx.
