I have been where you are, and I was able to taper off and never miss a day of work. It is a slow taper, but it works. I felt a little anxious as the dosage dropped, but other than that I was fine. I cut back 1/4 mg. every 2 weeks until I was down to only 1/4 mg per day, then I stopped. You can work this in - I worked, took care of home and hubby and child, and I am so glad every day now that I don't have to worry about those little pills! Good luck!
You must be clean and yes I absollutely do not have time for WD's, I have many people that depend on me, no excuses just fact, I do want off, MY doctors son who is also a doc said he is licensed to give out a drug to inhibit the WD's, I am going to check that out.
Tapering doesn't work with your busy life? I don't understand. If you want to be drug free, you are going to have to put some work into it, and not make excuses. I would hope that you could find the time to take care of this very important aspect of your life. Good Luck.
Woke up with withdrawals, I am out, going to doctor told him I wanted off, he says taper off but that doesn't work with my busy life, Crazy
I don't think you should go cold turkey off the xanax. I believe it is dangerous and you must taper off. Can you talk to the prescribing doctor and tell them you would like to get off ?
