Good job, you have a plan to get clean. You can do it.  I still suggest staying away from the ultram.
keep us posted.

You are going to WD before the Sub appointment ( I know, you're thinking 'thank you captain obvious'). Perhaps you should consider just going CT and toughing it out versus getting 8 days into withdrawals and then starting another drug that you will have to taper down off of.....it's your choice.
Either way, don't take the ultram. It's just another addictive drug and taking it will be like peeing on a forest fire. Hang in there. I too have heard horror stories about ultram withdrawals-don't chance it.
If you decide to go CT and forego the Sub let us know. We can help get you through it.
Congrats on deciding to get your life back.
Stay strong

I don't recommend the Tramadol at all, as it is addicting and can cause serious health problems. If you go c/t now, you will not need the Sub, you will be through the withdrawal by the 28th.

Thanks...

i've been on opiates (mostly oxy's) for 3 yrs now and and for the 1st time ever I went to the hospital to get something, but I woulda rather have not gotten anything if I knew I was going to get that.

How long you been on the Oxy's?

it did take some of my WD symptoms away after 2 doses which is why i stopped taking it after 3 days total, i was scared of getting hooked on that. (I quit Vicodin 20 days ago). I dont know how much oxy you were taking, the tram might not be strong enough to help you anyways, and after reading all the horror stories on here of people being addicted to tram and the WD's from it seem even worse than oxy/hydro/codeine, I wouldnt really recommend it. Try to hang in there. I know its not easy. We all know it.
