I need relief...day 11 and feel like day 4

does anyone have any suggestions on what will make this darn wd physical go away faster????  I can barely stand up yet and my body is still shaking like day 4...I'M FREAKING OUT!!!!

you are so sweet, i can handle my RA now that i have been on this drug called Enbrel and methatrexate. It was years ago that it was the worst,  I actually went on th oxy for back (disc) problems as a side effect of the RA meds.  I think it was the prednisone i took for many years,  Now i wish i would have found a different avenue to tackle the back pain.  But then again i would not have met all these wonderful people that i did hear. I really only suffer with my RA now when i don't take my meds so all will be fine when i decide to do my needle.  I am so lucky to have a drug plan as that med alone cost over 5000.00 every six weeks (no that is not a typo)  it changed my life though so i am greatful.  I was almost in a wheelchair for the first few years but as the drugs got better i got better.  the original pain was the first addiction to percocets, went off them ct also so i thought it would be the same 7 days and i would have my life back....different drug different wd time...live and learn i guess.  thanks for all your kind words, they mean so much to me.  Have a great night also.

Omg--I am so sorry, all this time we are chatting i never realized you had RA, i am sure you posted it and i missed it..
i have a very good friend with that so i know what you are going through...my heart just breaks for you..I have back problems but nothing i can't handle compared to what you have.
Of course when i became an addict i asked my friend what meds she took, thinking she would say pain meds...She said all kinds of something of things and said pai meds was not a good mix either for her system..
so again, sorry about that..And you will be there for all your son's upcoming events!!!
i think i did have energy back then but then again i had 4 kids and worked full time without pills so i must of...I guess it is just not the same kind of energy..When i first started realizing they gave me energy that is when i wanted more..I could clean , cook, etc...I already am a neat freak, so this was the ticket i thought..or so i thought..now,things are not together, but at least i am...That is all i can say..
And at least i can go and plan to go places not around pills..i was always the type to jump up and go everywhere, fishing on spur of the moment, camping, everything...Then BAM, it was like i only have 2, i can't go, i don't feel good...or i am tired, excuse after excuse..
Same story of all addicts...We are all the same!! Still good people though..that is one thing i have learned here,
addicts are not bad people....

you just described me exactly, i always used the pills for energy also...that is the part i will miss the most.  I did have energy b4 the pills and my sister was actually saying that to me today...she said i remember when you would never sit down always cleaning the house..people used to yell at me to sit down.  then she said all of a sudden i told you to sit down and you never got back up.  That was as soon as i started to taper off the pills.  I have been tapering for almost a year so my house has been a mess for almost a year now.  I would take  the pills to clean the house on weekends..  I am just so happy to know i have a chance to be around for my sons wedding and kids as the meds i take for my RA are already so hard on my organs that i was playing with fire adding pills into the mix. I did not take my needle for my RA and i am suffering alot but i am to afraid to weaken my immune system more in case it make the wd worse, it is hard to eat as my jaws are almost not opening from so much pain....oh well i just have to scwish my food to fit in my mouth..my son thinks its funny.   have a great night...thanks for the idea for Fladdict she already got me alot of information.

you know i was thinking about this , i didn't have all this energy before pills..Meaning that is why i liked to take them, because i was super mom, super wife...So i sit here and i am still waiting for the energy, but really i didn't have it before so what am i waiting for???LOL does that make sense?

Sometimes i think i am going to get this sudden boost of energy , but i only got that when i took pills...SO i take what i can get i guess..i mean i know it will get better then this..But never like on pills...So i know that and i don't wait for it to happen and i think that helps me.

But i do beleive that 30plus days , things are not foggy, much better appetite, i don't snap at my kids for nothing.
But the number one best is
I am NO LONGER counting pills, worried if i have enough to go anywhere, or get out the house..Or where i was going to get them, etc...That by far is the best part..

thanks for everything, i will post to Fladdict about the aminos, that is a great idea.  I just went grocery shopping and i wasn't sure i would make it.  My son came to help and it was a blessing.  No energy left to do anything now.  I know it is weird that we have different Thanksgivings in Canada vs. US.  You guys have a 2 days holiday and we just get one day.  Works for me though gives me an extra day b4 i have to go back to work.. i am so scared to go back but i have already taken 2 wks so this is it.  have a great evening...you are the best!!!!

that is great, getting out and having them understand and support you makes me smile...maybe you can ask Fladdict about some amino's..i think they make one that is a natural type of benzo...maybe that would help or maybe she could think of another that can help you...

thanks again for being there for me....i don't know what i would do without everyone here..  I will tough it out...i will keep you posted.  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in Canada and i am going to my dads for lunch/dinner so i will atleast get out of the house and get a good meal....he knows my condition so he is picking my son and I up and bringing us back....I love my family....they are the best also!

i just wish i can help you more...After going through benzo w/d's i said the same thing never again..But after about 6 months and having these panic attacks, i really had no choice..These are no anxiety , there is a big difference...that is why i wish i could help JACE too.....But what i have learned is ONLY take them when i need..1 bottle can last me over 3 months..I have had them since i was a child...It really is a terrible feeling..
i just wish i could help you more, my opinion is that it is the valuim..meaning the shakes.inside...The skin thing i would say it is the opiates.

I detoxed from Benzo's almost 3 yrs ago...But remember it like yesterday...i do have terrible panic attacks...So i still take them, but very rarely , i do breathing techniques..But i was a very high dose of them, i took them just as my doc told me...And he had no trouble refilling and never explained to me about getting off..i was wrong too, in not telling him when i did quit..it wasn't until after detoing i learned i could of died..my biggest symtom was shaking..inside and out...i swear even my head would move..At that time i was going to AA meetings and had to walk out many times because i thought i was going to pass out...i would get tunnel vision, and could not be around anyone..i could not sleep at all..for at least 15 days..But i did not have tingling...I had that from the hydro's this time..Crawling skin..but with the benzo's it was mostly the shakes , and and out of mind experience..

Well i didn't take them everyday at first but them when i was weaning down i was having trouble sleeping so i was taking one every night to sleep...then i only had a few left and i took them every couple of days till they were out...so i guess it was ct.  I know i was addicted to percs years ago at 10 a day went off ct and i only suffered for 6-7 days and it was over...i thought this would be the same... i never took valium or anything else like that before so maybe that is why this is so bad... what are your symptoms coming off benzo's.

That doesn't seem like alot but you would be amazed what benzo's can do taken every day and stop cold turkey..i am reading something about it right now, and we can find something about that..But since i have been following you , i kind of thought your symtoms sounded alot like mine from benzo's..When you stopped..Was it c/t? or did you wean.
You said they were 5mgs??

i asked that question yesterday if my body could have gotten addicted to the valium in such a short time.  I never took more than one pill @.5 ea.  I did take them for about 2 weeks every night but then they didn't work that well for sleeping anymore..but i did take the whole 30 tabs.  Can you get addicted in that short of time???  do you think this is contributing to the length of time this is taking?  Do you think sub would work for me and take all the wd away?
i do have a borrowed bp machine here and i was taking it alot per day.  I will keep watching it since i am going to increase the clonidine again.

Well i just checked my calcium mag and it says i can take 1 3x/day...i will start to take 3 i was only taking 2.   do you have the tingling in your upper body??? what are your wd symptoms on day 13 are you able to go to work?

Do you have a blood pressure machine?? to me if you were blacking out i would think that your blood pressure might be way to low...
Benzo's are valium,xanax,klonopin,adivan etc...
When i detoxed from klonopin i was feeling exactly what you are saying...The w/'s of benzo's are worst then opiates..At least for me..the shakes on the inside were so terrible that i could not swallow anything for a while..My throat would close up on me..Also the shakes were on the outside too...The only thing was i had no idea what was going on with me..I took them as persribed and had no idea that if i got off it would be like that...someone should never go c/t from benzo's ,,it can cause death..I really thought i was havign seizures, that is how bad the shakes were...
Does this make sense...Maybe what you are feeling is from the valium...now i have never taken those but i am pretty sure all benzo's are pretty much the same..I have also read alot about them, and that is how i learned about what i went through..

I am taking epsom salts baths, that is magnesium,, Not sure what good its doing, but it distracts me from the misery of the head spinning for a few minutes. Magnesium is used by the liver to detox the body, I have been tested & I am low, so I take supplements, shots & baths, still low. I have been very toxic, metals & pesticieds, so my body burns magnesium,, It makes the muscles relax, so, I continue with that p[rogram. Either way, a hot bath is nice, epsom salts just make it better. You can get magnesium at the feed store for a lot less, but I feel tooo crappy to care about a few bucks, I want/need convenience. on sept 25 i started on .1 mg 3x/day..but was blacking out so i started to take 2 pills /day (1 whole and 2 halves) the last few days i have only been taking 2 halves...i called to see if i can increase and they said i can take 3 halves today.  I am not on anything else I am not ever sure what benzo's mean (sorry).  I did take 30 ea .5 mg valium when i was weaning off but not everyday... i just keep hoping...It is the shakey and tingling in my arms/head and chest that is driving around the bend....i hope the clonidine will start to help

oh i forgot i am taking a sleeping pill at night zopiclone 7.5 mg  

i am scared now after knight errant saying 22 days...i have to go back to work on tuesday...

The weakness i can understand, but the shaky part on the inside?? are you coming off of any benzo's??

Everyone's body responds and recovers differently.  I did an accelerated taper, and the first week wasn't so bad. I got brutal withdrawals on day 8, and they lasted another 2 weeks until day 21.  But on that 22nd day I felt remarkably better, having had my worst pain just the day before.  Don't despair, your body is fighting to recovery what it lost.  You will make it!

i have lived in the bath but feel so much worse when i get out. i just called the pharmacy and she told me if i am not feeling any better by tomorrow i should go to emergency dept.   I will if this doesn't get any better.  I barely have enough strength to type this..

Day 11 is hugh..i am sorry you are feeling bad..I found that long hot baths helped me so much...And i had these crystals that had aromathrapys/ in it...I pray you start feeling better

i swear if i did not take my pills back to the pharmacy i would probably take them today...i am at the end of my rope....I do have clonidine but it did not work as good for me....i might start taking more today to see if it does help.....thanks for the post...today is so bad!!!

I'm sorry the physical stuff is still lingering for you; it did for me, too.  Hopefully, you have (or can get) clonidine.  It sure helped me alot.  The anxiety is really uncomfortable, I know, but your body is going to take the time that it needs to recover.  Our bodies are very resilient;  you've come so far and will be on the other side of it soon.  Hang in there, ok?
