sub can be very addicting if used for over 3weeks or so,,everyone is different..the drug itself is covered as a rule by most insurance..the doctor visits usually r not..and they r expensive/also only certain doctors prescribe sub but that list is getting bigger by the day as many doctors make a fortune off their patients unfortunately..some out there who r doing the sub tx at an affordable price but not many..it is a tool to quit with minimal wds and if used short term with meetings//not addictive..many who relapsed often may need it long term..then a slow taper to get off...u can use a slow taper to get off the oxy u r on if u dont want to risk using sub..good luck to u and keep posting

Your going to or want to sue your Dr for trying to keep you out of pain. Its people like you who blame all their problems on everyone but themselfs. When you were prescribe the OXYs didnt you read the info that comes with the meds? every pharmacy gives them out in the bag. It clearly states that this drug can become addicting if used over a long period of time. Sorry for being a jerk. Dont blame your Dr for trying to help you. If used right Oxycottin is a good drug. and yes Suboxane is real and works like methadone, both are great drugs. And they too are addicting.

suboxin does releave the w/d symptoms.  but be very careful with it.  it cimes with its own set of problems and even more addictive than the oxy.  in the health pages to the right of this page you will find the experiences of our members that have used sub.  i was on the same dose of oxy you are and was snorting it.  not for pain but for the high...i quit c/t. it was hell but i am still here.  lol  some insurance does cover sub...most dont.  good luck and keep posting.
