Have been on 32mg. of Suboxone for 3 years. I've been through the gamut: heroin for 5 years, then methodone for 4 or 5, then got 2 felony drug cases which I was able to get expunged after I did a 1 year intervention program. Suboxone has really made a HUGE difference in my quality of life. Its been so long since I've felt bad, I'm just worried about the kick. Went to get my scrip filled three days ago and found out my insurance no longer covered it. Surprise! Anyway, it's time to scale down and come off anyway, so I see this as a blessing. Question: Is the sleeplessness, anxiety and weakness the same as dope after your off this stuff? I own and operate a one-man cabinet shop and need to know if I should plan a month off. Thanks.

i have been takeing script meds for at least 30 years all kind but mostly morco10/325 #35 & soma 350 # 35 OR 45  somas sometimes it hurts so much i tae diliaud my 25 yr ols son died 7-25-08  some time i cant bear to  live but im hangin in there for my other 2 sons & my preicious daughter i have lost a bro to a shootin over crack & now my son Jared od'd from herion & that stupid fentayl i dont know what to d0 i have    no ins & live in detroit mi ive tried & tried to find help not eligible for medicaid so no md will plz help if u can 0k??? thanks in advance i dont know wat to d0 anymore ive trid cold & its terribble plz ans ir possible thanks

When you took your 1st dose of suboxone how long had it been since you'd done anything (i,e methadone? heroin?)  The general rule of thumb with Suboxone is to be in a mild state of withdrawl before you take them.  If you don't, the naltrexolone will throw you into automatic withdrawl......

Have you asked your doc about trying subutex??

Sorry it's been awhile since I responded.  I gave up on the suboxone.  They weren't bringing my dose up.  They still wanted me to take 8mg morn and 8mg nite.  I was doing 10 - 12 bags of heroin daily.  I just stopped taking the suboxone and started using again.  I did this for about 1 month and now I'm back on the methadone clinic.  That seems to work for me soo much better.   Where do you stand on the suboxone?

i was taking 40 lorcet 10s a day for quiet sometime. I have been on suboxone 8mg twice a day... but this doesnt seem like enough. it always wears off and i have to take more. i have talked to my dr. about this, annd he never does anything about it. i run out of my meds two weeks early... then have to deal with the extreme sickness. is this a low dose for someone that was taking that many lorcets a day?

i am not sure what to tell you...i was only at 32 mgs for about 6 weeks..i had no problem getting down to 10, but feel better at 14 mgs...was sick when i went as low as 8 mgs...
all i know is, they SAY, who really knows though, everyone seems to be different when sub is concerned , that the longer your on it the harder to come off it...but i have also heard of people doing a real slow taper and only suffering for about a week, and quite mildly i may add...i would go the slow taper if i was you,,the slower the better, from what i hear...the way you are planning it, seems quite rapid to me, and you may suffer needlessly hun...but like i said who can say for sure...please post about your experience, i am interested to know how you do with this...as i too will be going down this road eventually someday.  good luck hun...

when i was going through my induction phase...i was instructed to take 4mgs every 2 hours until i felt better or hit the maximum daily dose of 32 mgs, which i did...
what drug are you coming off? and how much if you dont mind me asking....

your dose is too low hun...you need to up you dose...then you wont need it so often...i did a slpit dose 16 mgs in the morning and 16 mgs at night for the first 6 weeks, but i was coming off methadone...you probably wont need to go that high, but right now your too low...talk to your doctor...you should NOT be sick at all hun...

Last night I started this suboxone treatment.  Did not sleep one bit.  I'm hot and cold, sweaty, messed up vision(prob from no sleep), very VERY irritable. A few more things that I won't get into.  I took a 2mg pill at 7:20 last night.  They said when I start feeling sick, to break a 8mg pill in half and take.  To do that each time I started feeling ill and tonite they will call me to see how many times I took a half.  I was told not to take it within 4 hours of each other.  However, I needed one within 1 hour of each.  Now I'm up for the day--sicker than anything.  I'm calling out of work.  I'm not sure this suboxone treatment works.   Did you experience the same thing when you first started?  And if so, how long before it works?

I got off Methadone 100 mg.via Subutex. My doc gave me a scrip for 120 Vicodin (short acting opiate) to take while the long-acting Methadone exited my system. I made them last me as long as I could,even talked my therapist out of four so I could do a gig here in Austin. Took my last four at about 3 p.m., those got me through my gig and load-out and the short drive home. About 9 p.m. I started getting pretty sick and took my first shot of Buprenex. I started feeling well! Next days or so I started the Subutex, then the Suboxone a few days after that. They actually made me feel kinda loaded or a couple of months. Being an addict, I talked my doc up to 32 m.g. and have been to lazy to start to wean down. Now, day 3 of 24 m.g. I feel fine. This weekend I'll drop to 12m.g., then 8, then 4, 2, 1, zero. Once I'm sure all that **** is out of my system, I'll get the naltrexone implant which'll get me through the dicey stages of early drug recovery, (6 months) and that will be that. It's not as easy as I make it sound, I know.

is the subx how you got off the methadone? I spent 4yrs on methadone to quit pill addiction only thing methadone is worse at 350mils I quite c/t almost 4 mnths ago, if you taper may not be so bad
