Muscle relaxers

I failed again. I'm so embarrassed. I got the last script my dr gave after saying I wouldn't. I can handle everything else but I can't handle not sleeping. If I take a muscle relaxer, will it make my symptoms worse at night? Please let me know.

I tried the flexeril to help with w/d and it did NOTHING except made me feel dizzy while I laid there trying to sleep. I don't recommend it. Advil did more to relax me. Also a hot bath before bed and dryer heated towels wrapped around me. Good luck.

Hi. My rheumatologist prescribed me flexeril to be taken 10 mg every night. It did help me sleep, but left me tied to another pill. When I stopped taking it I was so sick to my stomach for over 2 weeks. I also couldn't sleep at all! Similar to opiate withdrawal without the rls. I wouldn't reccomend it at all

My husband is prescribed Somas, but he's a weirdo and only takes them as needed. Yeah, I was never a downer fan so he can have those around and I don't give them a second glance.

You got that right Happy..This is why I want to know what it is..I do not think they still prescribe the Somas to much now because of it can be very addictive..One med through out my substance use I could not stand..

Muscle relaxers should not be used for sleep but for actual muscle pain / spasms. My husband takes them when he has bad neck pain / spasm days, but going to the chiropractor helps with that regard. He hates when he has to take them at night because they actual make him wake up in the middle of the night and then he can't go back to sleep.

Stick with natural ways to induce sleep: tea, hot baths, and maybe some melatonin.

I'm sorry to hear that! That's why we told you how important it was to cancel your script! YOU HAVE TO CUT YOUR SOURCES! ALL SOURCES or you will keep going through this time after time! Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and MOVE FORWARD! Guilt is only going to weigh you down. It's a useless emotion that will hinder your progress. I'm sure Nursegirl will be around soon and she will KNOW the answer about the muscle relaxers.... Even the most beautiful of gardens need rain to grow. The first few days are uncomfortable...even painful but the end result is so very worth it!! Buckle down, brace yourself for a nasty case of the "flu" and ride it out! YOU CAN DO THIS if you truly want to! The choice is yours! I'm here rooting for you!

I thought He only gave you a tapering script of benzos and no hydros. ??
I ma not sure about the muscle relaxer .  Please take the measures to cut off your supply. I hate to see you on this merry go round. I know it is miserable.
