Over 3 years using

Really wanting to get off norco 10/325's. Been using for over 3 years. There's no way I can taper down unless so someone locks them up and gives me a ration each day. I did get my monthly amount cut down from 120 to 75 but now just running out faster. I also have a BuTrans patch that I wear. I recently got that cut down from 10mcg from 15. I find myself calling everyone I know just trying to get through a few days. My mother wants me to take off work and go to a rehab. I can't,I have a young son and my husband is in school full time. I'm the sole breadwinner right now. I also am in school again and graduate this Saturday so ive been waiting to make a move until I had more time.

I have felt the beginning effects of WD, I'm really dreading it. I've saved the taper recipe and plan to start picking everything up in the next few days.

I was wonder if anyone had any suggestions about coming off both the meds at the same time. Do i take them on all at one time? I'm out of both at the moment and can't afford to detox in the next few days. I plan on working my schedule out in a few weeks when the new one is out to where I can have at least 5 days off.

I stumbled across this forum and it's been the most motivational to make me formulate a real plan to stop all this. I've been working out everyday running hoping that would help to lessen the effects ofWD when they hit. Also, stopping smoking as well.  IM JUST READY TO BE HEALTHY,,!!!

I finally have the date scheduled and have taken off of work. I feel
Iike it has taken forever to finally see the day coming. My work schedule is 6 weeks at a time and I had to wait until the next one came out to take time off. I'm able to be off for 8 days and I'm scared that's not going to be enough. I really hope that after the 4/5 day, I'll be feeling a little better.

My next question is, when I do this, I want to jump in and get it started so  I was thinking of taking my last pills 2 days before my days off start so that I'll start the w/d pretty quick when my time off starts. I'm usually ok the first day with out anything, it's the middle of the 2nd that I start to feel the effects. I run too and that seems to get it out of my system faster. Do y'all think that's a good plan? I'm so ready, scared, nervous and anxious to do this but even more ready to get through it. I thought getting a jump start on it might be a better idea so that I would have more time to get through it if I need to.

No,that's a whole different monster.ive seen that first hand.

Unfornately, this is day 2 without anything. I don't have time to go through this. I have a final today and work tomorrow night. Feeling so awful...cold hands and feet but my body is on fire and sweaty.

I want to stick to my plan of taking off of work. I just asked my mom for help. She's on bored and that makes me feel better.

This is so horrible...I really hate what I've become.

Sad to hear slang in here but "boxers" is slang for Suboxone. We do not advocate it here because it is also addictive and very, very hard to come off of. It is designed for a specific reason and is a program that involves several things. It is right for a small majority of people but in the past 5 years the use has exploded. Most do not use it properly and the results are never good. Please avoid it for your situation.

I think your taper plan is a good one and if you can stick with it, then do it and be done with the pills. If you have someone to hold your meds and dispense them according to a plan, that is even better and reduces the risk and going off the plan. Let us know how you are doing and stick around. There is great support here.
