You have to try and find something ot be grateful for in each day. You have to appreciate the beauty int he world each day. There is always something to be grateful for. ..... you just have to open to it.
Some days I am more open than others. I could have woken up today at the very early wee hours of the morning after being up pretty much all night with my teething 1 year old BUT I made a decision to embrace it rather than fight it.
I find it makes for a much better day all around. Today is today and tomorrow will take care of itself.
Have a good evenig everyone.
i love what you wrote. i have days like that, but they are very few...however it IS those days that make it easier to get through the real tough days :) and i can totally visualize your views and i have to tell you - i'm quite envious! *sigh* man did your message just calm me......
My 13yo daughter and I went to see Wicked at the Academy of Music Sun night....it was such an incredible show! I went out the next day to buy the book and was so excited to have time to read it today....to my dismay it is missing....Anna mentioned that she wanted to borrow it for her reading period at school....she just didn't tell me she was taking it this week!!! Bummer! Oh well....maybe I'll read a good trashy magazine!LOL
You're so welcome!!
Marce, I just read Wicked and it's great. Wanna know how it ends??? LOLOL
Its posts like these that make me happy to be alive and happy to be clean! :)
Thanks for your words....
OK...rub it in!!!!!! I'm inland a bit....could get to the beach in a couple of hours but don't think I'd be back in time to meet the kids fafter school!!!! Guess I'll just have to go out on my back deck and pretend! It is a beautiful day here as well...hot and sunny....a great day for the pool at my mom's apt complex, except for one problem......they closed it on Labor Day!!!! Oh well....looking at the glass half full...I feel good today....worked a half shift this AM and am home and plan to start reading "Wicked" before the kids come! I am sober (today) and pray that I can stay this way! I hope we all can! Have a wonderful weekend all and keep fighting!
Peace,
Marcie:)
PS Congratulations VOsRose! Where in the keys are you going. Before we had kids, we camped for two weeks at Bahia Honda....gorgeous beach! Have fun!
Thanks! I'm going to enjoy every minute of it...sober!! What an incredible feeling. You know...I've been to Disney World every other year, most of my life, and this is the first time in 12 years I've been here and not on drugs. Wow! One thing I've found, for sure, is that it's not nearly as hot as I remember! LOL
See you guys real soon!

CONGRATS onyour marriage~!!
Enjoy your honeymoon.....
What a beautiful and serene picture that must be. I'm in Florida right now, on my honeymoon, and I can totally relate. I'm not at the beach (yet...we're heading to the Keys in a couple of weeks) but the weather is beautiful, it's quiet, the sun is just up and it's so peaceful. I hope you have a great day!

I'm im Rockaway Beach, Queens, NY and I overlook the Atlantic. I am literally 150 feet fromthe sand and my terrace has ocean views on the right and the Verrazano Bridge and Manhattan skyline to the left.
It's very calming ot be able to he the actual sound of the waves crashing onto the shore as I go to sleep every night and it's even better now that the summer is over and all the crowds are gone.
may i ask which ocean and where your looking?
Amen sista!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks for the reminder...think i'll go to the condo at the beach this afternoon after my doctor's appt. i could use a weekend of doing what you can do every morning.
you are so right sweetie. life is full of choices and "we" are responsible for what we choose to make it.
