Just wanted to get some advice, to make a long story short im addicted to percocet, for the last two yrs ive been taking 15 10 mg yellow birds. Its been three days now that I have been clean, my question is to help me out with the withrawl should i take tynelol 3. I have 20 of them, will this help me through the w/d or will it only make matters worse for me when i finish those, im so confused and i cant take the w/d symtoms anymore. I ve been taking advil to help me out as well as benadryl, is there any thing anyone recomends that I do?

I couldn't read you direct comment to me.  Yes you can do it on your own but it will be the hardest thing you do.  I don't think you can die.  It just sucks.

Thanks so much for your response and info. Too late, i am addicted, i was taking 10 percocet a day, 5 in the morning and 5 in the evening. I called my doctor and finally admitted i was addicted, which i never did before because i knew he would cut me off. He actually perscribed me more percocets to detox as long as i admitted it to my husband and he hides the pills and give them to me as the scedule permits for weaning and detox. I have a wonderful support system in my husband as it sounds like you do. I am on day 5 and am taking 4 a day, 1 and a half at a time. i am actually doing really good, i just never thought they would perscribe you more percocet if you were an addict. By next wednesday i should be down to only 2 a day, and by the 24th i should be completly off of them. My only concern is what is going to happen when there are no more, will i still go through withdrawal but just not as bad, or will it be really bad. I have been taking these pills for the past 2 years, the first 18 months was legitimate after major knee surgery, then i became addicted and sought out these from any doctor i could. I am actually checking myself into a rehab center for the weekend, for the mental and physical parts. I will never go back, i can't believe how a small little white pill can take such control of your life without you ever asking for it or wanting it. Have you ever heard of this form of detox? or if it is successful? Thank you
never me

This is the first moment since I quit Vicodin a little under 72 hours ago that I could actually be composed enough to write.  I was up to between 15 and 20 monster pills a day.  I took them first thing when I woke up, all during the day, and of course, right before bed like a true idiot.  When I decided to quit, I first I tapered off to about two a day.  This lasted for three days.  But it was pathetic.  I would start to get withdrawal symptoms and then dose and feel better.  Then after three days of tapering I went cold turkey.  The first 24 hours were hell!  If it hadn't been for my husband taking care of me, I would have given up and checked myself into the emergency room.  I wanted to be knocked out.  At one point int the night I asked my husband to punch me and knock me out...for real.  Of course he wouldn't, but that's how desperate I was.  My calf muscles were throbbing for 24 straight hours all of which I was awake for.  I couldn't hold still, let alone lay down.  I puked twice.  I took about three baths and two jacuzzis but that only helped while I was in them.  I took muscle relaxers, like four of them but it didn't let me sleep.  I walked a pathetic shuffle around my house in circles, groaning and moaning and occasionally falling to the floor so I could beat on it.  Finally the next day at noon my calves finally quit hurting.  And I fell asleep for about two hours.  The next day I got the feelings of icy hot all over my body at around two.  That has been with me not for almost 24 hours as well.  Let me just say it's not easy.  I'm going to be up all night tonight as well.  Don't let yourself get to this level of addiction cause it is hell getting clean by yourself.

Hey Ya'll!!  I'm on day 3 and this sucks!  I was taking 10 10mgs lortab a day. I guess I could be doing alot worse.  I have had night sweats for the last two nights, and on top of that, I have quit smoking also!! This is my first time on a site like this, but I know I have a major problem, this is my second time getting off of pills.  The first time I detoxed, my hubby put me in the big truck with him and we were out for about 6 months, but this time he has no idea that I got back on them.  I'm kinda ashamed of it, but its a big bad monster that doesn't give up easily.  But witht the grace and mercy of God, I will make it thru this.  If any of ya'll have any helpful tips please let me know.

Good for you!  It is nice when you have someone supporting you, but when it comes to the sneaking, lying and pill popping...I was you honey and that part sucked about as bad as the rest of it.  Eat bananas for the leg cramps they work pretty good, go through and read a bunch on this site people give out their tips all over here.  Drink lots of fluids, take hot baths for the body aches, heck I was ready to drink some nyquil to help me rest at night.  Funny how those pills start out so fun and end up ruining our lives.  Keep up the good work and keep on this site for support.  You did it once, you can do it again!  Good Luck my friend.
