thank you so much for replying. i was hoping you would. ive read alot of your notes through some forums and your so wonderful for helping other ppl in their time of need even though you've been off for quit some time. Before i found out that i was pregnant three months ago i was taking 5 to 6 vics or percs, whatever was available. when i found out, i started to ween myself off and stuck to vicodin b.c. i heard it wasnt as harmful on the baby. Some days i took 3 and other days 2 vics. it would vary. I couldnt ween myself past 2. I just got done reading one of your notes about an article you posted. it was in the forum of one lady's title "how can something so easy....be so HARD. after i read that i have a better idea. But i do need some support. Unfortunatly, the father of this baby turned out to be abusive and is in jail right now and i dont have any support so thats why i came here. of course he wouldnt have been any type of support considering he was worse than me. I would love your help to taper off these damn devil pills.  Thx  Isittoolate

When you get to half a pill every 8 hours you will be down to one pill a day.. the other 2 halves will have dropped out by spreading them further apart.. So when you get to 8 hours apart.. split that one pill in quarters and go back to every 4 hours.. so one quarter every 4 hours.. then one quarter every 4.5 hours.. then 5 hours.. do you see that pattern now..

I think if you stopped cold turkey your chance of miscarriage would go up greatly.. due to the severe increase in blood pressure that comes with detoxing..

Ok So tommorrow and monday  take a half a pill every 4 hours..
Tuesday wednesday- take half a pill every 4 and half hours
Thursday Friday- half a pill every 5 hours.
Saturday- Sunday- half a pill every 5 and half  hours.
Monday- tuesday-  half a pill every 6 hours.

Get it now??  I will type out the whole thing if you want... it does not have you quitting in a week.. it will probably be more like 3 weeks ish..

I got it. 2 pills every four then every half hr after that. I was told by a N.Y. nurse that comeing off of pills i could have a miscarrage. do you think thats true? or do you think she's part of the money hungry pill cycle that dr. love to adore? Do you think i should come off slower than that, cuz by my estimate thats quiting w/in a week,. aint it? Oh dear.....i think im already making excuses for myself.LOL!!!  so when im down to that last pill i taper to half of a half? O.k. maybe i need a sched. im confusing myself. LOL plus its late.
