i"ve been sneezing for last 2 months straight at least 5 times a day, hope it ends sometime!
Well, maybe those day are behind YOU Weaver! It seems like almost every time I sneeze, cough, laugh, and bend over, that little TMI accident happens! Ha! "They" tell me it's part of getting old! ;)
I love the "TMI" sneezing stories!! I dont feel so alone! lol
Weaver u said it perfect: allergic to air! That's how I felt when I started and when I stopped. Well said :)
LOL
I have been sneezing for 7 days straight but it is getting better now. Only about 10 sneezes today. I just blame it on allergies at work. :)
We just had Thai food, talk about sneezing! Been sneezing along with coughing as I merrily detox along. Opiates suppressed my cough button for all that time, along with histamines
.
I don't remember sneezing for all the years I used, but caught up when I quite for sure. I was thinking about how my nose was itchy when I first started taking meds. When I stopped, it felt like the sensation was returning to my nose and my brain didn't know how to respond to all the sensations. It's like I was allergic to air.
And I definitely know what you're talking about Sonrissa, personally. Kind of embarrassing, but those days are behind us now, thank God.
The sweats are one of the worst for me too. But I think the worst feeling for me was the deep down exhaustion, no energy, no motivation with the constant yawning when I did try to move around. But then again, the runs were no fun either...LOL! If sneezing is the worst of what's left as far as physical symptoms go, no complaints here! :)
I hear you loud and clear on that one!! LOL Probably definitely TMI but oh well :)
Sneezing is very common... im still sneezing at 53 days. Nothing like the first 30 days though. Now i take it as a reminder that im still healing. I'll take that over the sweats anytime... one of the things that had me stumped. Then my pal Tom from the board told me about putting a cold cloth on my stomach at night... it worked!
Are you still yawning too? I have an occasional one here and there. Although they are small ones. I went through 3 days of non-stop yawning to where I had splits on the corners of my mouth. Yesterday I had a yawning fit and I panicked. I thought "oh no, here it comes again", but it passed in about half an hour.
I COMPLETELY understand!! lol
Bless you! Yes, I sneezed also! Just be thankful you aren't as old as me, and when I start sneezing, sometimes I have another kind of little accident! LOL! Perhaps TMI? It's certainly annoying, but completely normal!
The sneezing stories make me laugh. I know it suxs when it is happening to you but just be glad you dont have to be in the bathroom when you do sneeze! I got caught a few times!! lol
Ughhh Next to the horrible insomnia the sneezing has been the worst for me!! I was sitting at a red light on like day 2 and I sneezed like 12 times in a row! People kept honking at me because I was just sitting there ! hahaha I probably looked to them like I was having a seizure of something like that! lol Frustrating for sure!
LOL! I woke up this morning and first thing I did?? SNEEZE 3 times!! And then 30 minutes later...sneeze 3 more times!! I think I sneezed a couple more times today, but nothing like the first few days. Yesterday I was sweating in my armpits more, but today that seems better. What I noticed was that I don't STINK like I did while sweating. I hope I didn't smell like that all the time....pppppeeeeeeuuuuuu!! :)
Yep this is normal! Sneeze away!
IBK, remember my horror stories with sneezing!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Thank you! I had no idea how much damage I was doing to my body! Maybe I did but put the blinders on...
By the way, you name kind of made me think of Kleen-ex...very fitting for this thread. Hahahahaha!
Opiates reek havoc on our respiratory system in so many ways. Sneezing, I believe, is a part of that. A lot of people suffer with chronic bronchitis, colds, etc. after stopping the pills. It is all apart of it somehow. I am not a doctor so I can't really tell you how it works I only know I have been there, done that so many times.
That being said, I don't think I have sneezed 5,000 times in my entire life???So keep a positive attitude. It goes a long way.
Oh wow that all makes so much sense!! I really never used to sneeze...so funny I never noticed that!!! And ohhhh the sweats! Gosh darn those sweats! I didn't think to ask about those but that is so true! Wow, you really know your stuff...this board is lucky to have you. Thank you for the support and congrats on the 70 days! That is fantastic!!!
Hi Happy. The sneezing was a very big thing for me as well (and the sweating). I used to post about it all of the time. It took about a month before my sneezing somewhat subsided. At around 70 days I'm still sneezing more than average. It definitely has gotten better though.
Using opiates wreaks all kinds of havoc on your body including messing with your histamines/ anti-histamines. You may not have noticed but while u were using you probably didn't sneeze much at all...when I came off it's like I all of the suddenhad allergies!
They also interfere with your body's ability to regulate fluids and increase fluid retention when using (hence the excessive sweating when you stop). I can say that my sweating has definitely evened out (probably around a month clean as well- thank goodness).
Hope I wasn't telling you things you already know...just putting in my two cents...good luck keep going and checking in :)
