Subloxone withdrawal

My boss was taking oxycodone for a few months not every day and only around 30 to 60 mg a day when he did. he felt he had become addicted even tho it was low dosage and not daily so he went into a rehab. He was there for 1 week and while there they gave him subloxone.
When he checked out they wanted to give him a script for Subloxone which he refused.
Since his release he has been acting out and has not been himself at all, and complains of scary vivid dreams, inability to sleep, and the feeling of withdrawal that is worse than the initial problem.
How long will this last and is there anything he can do to make this easier.
I NEED A RESPONSE ASAP I AM VERY WORRIED ABOUT HIM PLEASE HELP!!

It almost sounds like he may have had a bigger habit than he has told you. Good luck

and just my opinion don't go back to the suboxone, ride it out. he will have to go back and taper + go through WD again when it comes time to stop. Suboxone will make you feel better now but it will be time to pay later. tough it out for the next week or two he will be glad he did.

30 to 60mg for a month will result in withdrawals for 3-4 days. One week in rehab should have been enough to clean out the system CT why would you take suboxone from coming off a low dose. If you took suboxone for 1 week with a 72 hour half life he should be in slight WD for 1-2 weeks then it should be out of the system. The real questions (A) how do you know it was only one month at 30-60 mg (B) why would you go on suboxone for coming off such a low dose (C) what is the dose of suboxone, it should only be like 1-2 mg.

He might want to post and give the correct information in order to get a straight answer to how long and why?

either way I hope the best for you and your boss and godbless

I have written (as well as many others) many of the issues. But this seems to be self inflicted by getting off the Subs to quick (in my non medical opinion). In my opinion he needs to fill 1 rx of Suboxone and do a taper down from where is where he is. This may be a 20-30 day taper period but to me it seems like he stopped the Subs before they normalized his brain. Again I am no Dr but have spend man days reading and writing on this board.

If he was smart enough to to to detox so quickly why is he not gving the subs a chance to work.  Just an fyi subs have a half way life of about 37 hours in our body. So I would suspect that the Subs were out of his system completely in about 3 days.

I hate to say it, but could it just be his "real" personality coming out of the haze of addiction?
