Tapering off duragesic??

I've posted here before and gotten some wonderful input.  I'm currently on the 25 mcg. patch with about 2-3 vic 5mg for BT pain. I want to wean off but tried once for 5 days and couldn't take the withdrawals.  If  anyone has done this before and has a method that might ease the discomfort,  I'm really desparate.  The stuff frightens me!!

Thank you sooo much for the quick replys!! Maybe I should clear up the fact that my older kids live on thier own and have spouses. I spoke with my older kids about the drug problem so they know why I would be moving. I will be located around the Simi Valley area. We don't know anyone there. I am taking my 7 year old away from all family. We told her it will be for the summer only..hoping she will make friends and want to stay. To the person living in California (I'm sorry I did not get your name before writing this post)can I email you and ask a few questions about living in the LA area? Everyone is bitchin and moanin about all the threads closing. Is there anyone who could address this issue with the managment. I would but God knows I don't need to put my name in front of Cindy with the mouth I have, Jezzz!
