I'd say taper if you can and you will start the w/d process then finally quite.  You can take one of the drugs like Subuxone but if your strong I feel the ****** feelings you go thru will make it harder for you to relapse cause you will know how much damage you are doing to your body.  I tapered a little then cold turkey and using what otc, suppliments, baths, anything that will help.  At first motrin & tylenol every 2 hours for pain, immodium as needed, tylenol pm, benadryl, supplements, vitamins, o.j., red bull, sugary & healthy foods, etc...  Find what works for you.  I am on day 7 and starting to feel again, it's a crazy sensation.  good luck...

You're the second person to advise doing research.  Do you have any suggestions about where you can look to find good (as in, from people who have actually been through it) info?  Because I'm not finding a lot on this forum.

Thanks!

Well some people have used Buprenex,Subuxone. Smallest amount shortest time and it can work painlesly. That is if your lucky their are many variables. What you can do is research what every say helps them and assemble and test a package of comfort meds and make your own strategy. Learn from your failures keep going, You can get there. Sorta is no magic bullet.

Sincerely Bart
