This too shall pass?

It's not passing. Got off oxy. Got off pure codeine . On light meds for sleep and anxiety...... Depression never stops but I refuse any more pills I want off all meds. 8 surgeries for endomitriosis . A bad ex... Old life style. Addicted to the powder. I go up n down from 500-1000$ a week to 100$ week. I'm so ashamed. And so alone cut all ties with old friends, gangs etc....no bf... Nobody wants to be my friend as they scared of me and my past. Therapist says this too shall pass..... I want to know when. Help me.

It does pass. But it depends on what you were using, how much daily and for how many years. Your general overall health also comes in to play.
If you are like me - like most of us on this forum - you want normal now. Forget the fact that you've been poisoning your body for years, you want to be well yesterday. That isn't how it goes and you know it. Put in the effort; mark your time clean and celebrate the milestones. Plan your recovery. And realize you are the only one who can pull this off.
Life clean is fantastic. It took me over 15 years to get to this point.
I wish you only success.

Congratulations on  reclaiming your life . How long have you been in recovery? Great job on getting rid of things from the past.
You will find a lot of friends here and people to listen and support you.
Time will be your healer....... Please be patient.
Everyone's detox is different but there are usually milestones along the way, 30,60,90 days are big ones.
Are you eating a healthy diet, exercising, taking vitamins?
Great that you are in therapy. Do you attend any support group?
Find a new hobby. Do you work?
Keep the faith.
Sending encouragement, prayers and support,
Debbie
