Thoughts for Today

Hi all.  Man what a busy night. I almost missed NoMas!!  Ha Ha Ha!

From Daily reflections:

When I was drinking/using, I deceived myself about reality, rewriting it to what I wanted it to be.  Deceiving others ia character defect - even if it is just stretching the truth a bit or cleaning up my motives so others would think well of me.  My Higher Power (whatever you choose it to be) can remove this character of defect, but first I have to help myself become willing to receive that help by not practicng deception.  I need to remember each day that by deceiving myself ABOUT myself is settingmyself up for failure or disappointment in life and in recovery.  A close, HONEST relationship with a Higher Power is the only solid fouundation I've founf for honesty with self and others.

Have a blessed day all.
Peace,
- T.

From The Language of Letting Go - Meldoy Beattle

Many of us were oppressed and victimized as children.  As adults, wem ay continue to keep ourselves oppressed.
Some of us don't recognize that caretaking and not setting boundries will leave us feeling victimized.
Some of us don't understnad that thinking of ourselves as victims will leave us feeling oppressed.
Some of us don't know that we hold the key to our own freedom.  That kep is honoring ourselves, and taking care of ourselves.
We can say what we mean, and mean what we say WIHTOUT being mean while we say it.
We can stop waiting for others to give us what we need and take responsibility for ourselves.  When we do, the gates of freedom will swing wide!

Meditation:
TODAY, WILL UNDERSTAND THAT I HOLD THE KEY TO MY FREEDOM.  I WILL STOP PARTICIPATING IHN MY OPPRESSION AND VICTIMIZATION.  I WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MYSELF, AND LET OTHERS DO AS THEY MAY.
I CANNOT CHANGE OTHERS, ONLY MY REACTION TO THEM.

Have a blessed day all.
Peace,
- T.
