I must confess here that unlike most of you, I can take time, a little or a lot unburdened by children (mine are grown) wife (mine has returned to school for her P. H.D.). I am a journalist and mainly work overseas and can accept or reject an assignment. I do take into account that many of you have families, work, ect when I give advice. Or I try. All  that said, this addiction takes time to step away from and you should attempt to make time any way you are able.

Well, since you have the time I personally would suggest a Methadone Maintainance Center. That's what I'm doing. Been clean and sober for 5 months. Longer than ever before! And don't even have the urge to use. Don't listen to the rumors about Methadone. Talk to a Methadone Dr. to get the facts. It's well worth a shot. It saved my life and my unborn child's. Good luck and keep it in mind ok?

I don't know that I would have managed.  Three days into recovery is the pitts...

I think you have been most helpful to me.  3 days ago I didn't think I could do this at all.  Now I am almost 48 hours in.  Granted I don't feel great, but today, I MADE myself clean the house, spend time with my son and prepare some of the food for tomorrow's dinner in advance.  So, I thank you.  Happy New Year to you.
