I just wanted to thank all of you that tried to help me, but I've never been so sick in my life.  And the back pain is incredible.  So I've already been thinking of someway to get pills.  I don't care what kind.  Just something so I wouldn't feel so bad.  Thanks to all of you again, Bobbyjean

i am so sorry you feel so bad...But also that you are in pain..i never made it past day 2 so i can only imagine..BUT you are almost there..
But i hate to hear you are in real pain not just w/d..

Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I quit once before and day 5 was the worst. I wish there was some way I could help you get through this. This is the do or die day I would guess. Can you hang on for one more day? You might be able to handle it better tomorrow. If you can't stand the pain in your back then you need something. Best of luck.

Please, please don't give in! I don't know your story, but it sounds like you took painmeds for actual pain, not just for fun. I did it for pain only for my peroids, and the rest of the time it was for the "high", so when I went through the w/d, I didn't have the pain part...just w/d symptoms. YOU ARE STRONGER AND MORE IMPORTANT THAN A PILL!!!!!!!!!!!! I know exactly how you feel...thinking and thinking and thinking about how to get more pills...do not give in! Have you tried taking an OTC pain med?  My husband swears by Aleve.  He has severe back problems, and honestly the Aleve helps him more than the hydro or oxy he was prescribed.  Hang in there, if something OTC can help the pain, it would be much better than starting the wd process over again.  Good luck.

From my brief perion of in-patient, I learned that the Mind will psychosomatically create pain to get more of the drug... this was a new concept for me and now off my pain is gone.

I know when I reached the end of my 5th day felt better. I had a refill and my addict mind told me to taper. Not an option for me, been there, done that. I wish that I had taken one more day or even 5. Wanted to throw a line out for you and not make my mistake.

i am Mark, Ms. Daytona's boyfriend.  please do not give up.  today is Ms. Daytona's 6th day clean, cold turkey from oxycontins.  yesterday, day 5, was  apparently her worst.  she couldn't work all day and she's not one to miss much work.  i think she is feeling better today, not great, but better.  she gets off at 7pm and i'll show her your post.  Hang in there, Mark

Again, thank you all for your encouragement.  I do have a question though.  A friend of mine said he could bring some Norcos to me because I'm feeling so bad.  He was at work and couldn't explain what Norcos were.  I could probably google it or something but I wondered if any of you had any experience with Norcos.  And if I took them would it ruin my recovery from the oxycontin ER's?

Norcos are hydrocodone 10 mg. and it would be starting all over again. Crossing my fingers for you, hang tight!!

The narco's will help, but by now you are so sick it would take at least a day or two of popping them every other hour to get you system back. The hydro (narco) is also way weaker than the oxycontin so your body will probley not take to it like most people who used hydro. Most of the stories on hear are about hydro,vicodin ect. I want to be honest with you. Oxy withdrawals blow hydro withdrawals out of the water. I have been through both and Oxy withdrawals are 10x worse than hydro withdrawals. You will not start to feel the w/d's start to go down until day 10-12 and even after that they will last another week. My phisical w/d's lasted 17 days, you need to go and get some ativan or valium. Do not take anymore oxy and do not take the hydro/narco.
