What Are Your Reasons To Succeed; Recovering(Staying in Rec.) From Drug Abuse?

We've been told numerous times to not take up question space with comments; however, as  specific drug questions cannot be answered by Dr. H.(being a Psychologist); and seeing that so much positive and constuctive dialogue follows "comment" type questions,  I put the above question to everyone: currently using, freshly clean, and long-time clean(and everything in between).
As we tend to focus on all the negative effects of substance abuse, from liver/kidney damage, ruining relationships with our loved ones, to finacial ruin or jail, etc...; I'm looking for the positives to getting and staying in recovery.

Thanks,
percs

Since you know I'd *never* want to encourage you too much, how about just a little peck on the cheek (of your face silly, NOT where you are thinking, LOL)?

If you are real nice to me, I might even throw in a bite too!  Heh, Ya know I love ya sweetie and thank you for all the help you give everyone here. (I just couldn't resist posting when I saw you leave it wide open for me to 'get ya' with some teasing .. what are friends for!)

Hey, pal, no butt kissing. It only encourages me. As for your tapering, man, that's huge! Tapering is not for babys. Tapering takes strength and honor, real discipline. If you can taper, be impressed with yourself. One reason I had so many chances to develop a cold turkey detox method is that I couldn't taper with a gun to my head. If you have what it takes to taper, do try not to lose that. It will save you countless months, days and years of pain.

I knew you'd come through Thomas!! What an act of generosity.
To put yourself through "that" for us,.........unbelievable!!!

Does your support have no bounds??? Talk about taking one for the team.  I could go on and on, but someone might perceive it as Thomas butt kissing.

Thanks Again My Friend,

"Gosh, Dr. Bozian, if you could just triplicate Rx me, I'd like to revisit those negatives again, sort of as a refresher, so I could, ya know, through a process of elimination at least spot all those positives on the distant horizon and just stand at the edge of the negatives and waive everyone else on. Kind of a public service. Self-sacrifice. Helping my fellow man. Awww, come on! Well then, Doc, no tip for you!"

staying clean
has its rewards, you wake up everyday and fell good  instead of like **** untill you get some pills.
the rar race of living to use and useing to live is over.
you can feel really good about life with out the guilt of useing.
you don't have to worry about breaking the law to get pills
or the thought of getting caught breaking the law buying pills
or doctor hopping.
your body heals a lot faster.
when i took the pills 15 a day , the joy of living was sucked out of my life and i felt like **** and woke up everyday
and felt like and 80 year old man.
while taking the pills i no long felt any good feeling from them
as after time we become imune to them.
and we can't function with them.
when you don't score any you go into with drawls and severe depression and totlol lack of energy dominates our so calles
misery of a life.
to name a few
peace!!!!!!!!!!!hippy
