What am I taking and how do I get off?

I have read other peoples questions on the forum and think this is the place I should be.  I am taking 3-4 little blue pills with 30 marked on them and told that they were hydrocodone.  I want to get off of them because they are costing me a fortune.  I'm afraid to go to a doctor or a pain clinic for fear of authorities finding out about my problem.  I am trying cold turkey (c/t) but have zero energy and my whole body hurts.  Even my bones.  I had to take a 1/2 just to pick up my wife from work.  My question is can this be done without any physical harm?  Do I just tough it out?  And how long before I start felling normal?  You know, going back to work?

Thanks for your info.  today and tomorrow are my days off.  I went today on 2, so tomorrow I will stick with 2 only space out 4 1/2's throughout the day and then keep that dose until next Monday.  I will then go Mon., Tues and Wed. c/t  Maybe I will be able to go to work Thursday and pray to feel better from there.  Thanks for your help.  Wish me luck!  I will still keep checking the forum.  It gives me incentive to get off of them.

Little blue pills with a 30 on them are oxycodone not hydrocodone... These are pretty much like Instant release Oxycontin...THese are much stronger than hydro... They are commonly know as Roxy's... or roxicodone..

Dont beat yourself up there are millions of addicts........
I still don't understand how you have no idea what kind of pills your taking but that is your business..

Tapering you will find is not an easy thing to do.......
95% of addicts cannot taper.......addicts take pills that is what addicts do.........

I am not sure of blue hydrocodone pills are with 30 on them......I know I used to order little blue football shaped hydrocodone pills that had a 10 on them those are the strongest hydrocodone pills that you can get.........

You wont' suffer physical damage from cold turkey.........
it depends how long you were taking these pills on how long and intense your w/ds will be.......

I've been there make a plan use the weekend and maybe an extra day off at work.........
get someone to watch the kids and lock yourself away for three days these will be the toughest days.............
Get through those and you will still hurt but you can manage work sweating and look like you have the flu but you can lie about that..........

When you decide that can't isnt an option and you put your job and kids ahead of your addiction your on your way................
Get your life back and get clean you will be better at your job and if to not yourself you owe your kids getting clean....................

Thanks for answering my post.  This is the first time doing this and maybe I sounded pretty stupid.  I know that they are pain pills, but through all my reading, everybody is talking about 20-30 mg being alot.  I am up to 4-5 of these hydrocodone little blue pills marked 30 on them. The reason I started taking them was for back pain, but it ended up that I got energy to make it through the day.  Now I realize that I'm hooked and go through pain when I don't take them. I just can't believe I am up to 150mg per day.  Maybe the 30 on them is a lot number.  Anyway, I can't go C/T cause I have a job and kids to take care of, so I will try tapering off and see how that goes. I just needed a little more info and support to get me going.  I was just worried that I would suffer physical damage going C/T or should I just tough it out and get it over with. Any suggestions on witch way to go?  Thank you for answering

May I please ask you why would you take a bunch of pills that you have no idea what they are?
