What is PAWS

Can someone tell me what this stands for??  I am recently on suboxone and have been feeling sick after I take it...throwing up kinda sick.  It subsides after a couple of hours but sucks.  I am taking between 2.5 and 5 mg per day and that seems low compared to many others.  I also have terrible leg cramps all day.  any ideas? answers?
Thanks!

even 5 mgs is a very low dose for the habit you had...you should be somewhere between 12 - 16 mgs for the first week...a split dose. you should be on the 16 mgs the doc prescribed...then you can lower it accordingly easily. the point of taking sub at the start  is to completely avoid withdrawals. are you letting the tablet COMPLETELY dissolve under your tongue? it can take up to 20 minutes at times...

naloxone sensitivity is very rare...and if it was that, naloxone lasts an extremely short amount of time...there is 2 mg of naloxone in 1, 8 mg tab...and not much of that is absorbed sublinguially from what i have read and learned, most is swallowed with the saliva....

You may not be able to tolerate sub. Some peple can't and you may be one of those cases. I rememeber when I first took it I felt kinda sick but it went away over time. I didn't have leg cramps though. That I had when in w/d from opiates.
Let us know what your doc says.
Thinking of you.

I think the suboxone has naloxone in it/an opiate blocker/and subutex does not...i have never taken either but just wondering if that could be making a difference...if the amount of buprenorphine is the same that was in your subutex dose...forgive me...no experience taking sub... just thinking out loud and typed it

I am not sure if it is withdrawal because it really only starts AFTER I take the suboxone.  I didn't have these side effects from the subutex.  I emailed and left my doc a message so I hope he calls me tomorrow with some advice.

you need to call your doctor...you are experiencing withdrawals, your dose is not high enough.
most of the time you require a higher dose the first week or so while your body is ridding itself of your drug of choice.
this is not PAWS...PAWS is something that your body experiences after you have some clean time under your belt, and kind of out of the blue you feel some mild withdrawals...
your dose needs to be upped, you are having withdrawal symptoms...you should not be feeling any withdrawals while on sub...please call your doctor...
