I have had this once before, I have heard that Clonidine helps.
jeffrey,
i had the same thngs happen along with panic attacks took me about 30 days sleep all night . before i had broken sleep but i was at least getting 6 hours a night .
the worst part is all my jerking keeps my partner awake all night as well
I am experiencing the same problems on day 5, so I guess it unfortunately is a normal part of w/d. I sleep a couple of hours at a time, if I am extremely lucky, and I also take the double amount of prescription sleeping aid, so it obviously can't be helped. I am longing for a good night's sleep, and I am so tired that I will go to bed in a little while, and in Copenhagen it is only 8:00 p.m., so it is early, but I am miserable and hoping for some sleep tonight.
Take care
Minnie
I've been off the vicodin for nearly 2 weeks now and it is the best thing I've done. I joined this forum right about the time I started the W/D's and it helped tremendously.
I had the sleep issues as well. My job, marketing/promtions keeps up all night anyway. So now without the drowsiness once induced by vicodin I have to find other ways to doze off. Exercising helps. Can you force yourself to just stay up through the point you don't feel deep sleep is anywhere within reach? I decided to give that a shot and thought I'd make it it 48 hours without sleep. Didn't happen.
You won't win that struggle often. You will fall asleep eventually.
It seems like all sleep meds have side effects the next day that you could look into to see if that would be even worse than restless sleep.
