Welcome to the forum, James! It's good that you know you are an addict, want to recover and are asking for help.
First you have to change your playmates and playgrounds....eliminate all your sources.....sounds like you've already shared your addiction with the woman you love....and then get some recovery support....
It's important to do it for YOU cause doing it because someone else wants us to get clean doesn't keep us clean for long.
Once you put these safeguards in place...you will be successful in putting your addiction into remission....we'll all be here to support you and help you along the way. Just keep reaching out and talking to us with any questions you have as you begin this road to recovery.
Wow...opiates and sex...don't usually go together. Sounds like if u love her and its not too hard to get off you know what to do. I stuck w my guy who was a heroin addict and became one myself. I wouldn't do it again. I would have left And never looked back if I knew what I know now. Good girls don't need to wait.
Hi James .You have to really want to quit for yourself. It is good that you don't get withdrawal symptoms. You are one of the lucky few. You can do this but it takes work and You just need to focus on getting through the day for the first few weeks. It gets easier but you have to stay clean to get the rewards. That means no more pills at all. Keep posting friend
