In weak moments remind yourself your stronger than you feel, wiser than you think, and there's nothing you can't accomplish! You can do this! Belive me if I could get off drugs anyone can! Your life will get better every day that you go without
Hi Cassmax,
Hope you come back and post soon so we know how you're getting on.
Take care
hi cassmax, hope you doing well, i am on day 15 off tramadol and i thought i would tell you how i am feeling. it helped me to know that things will get better and they do! about the first 5 or 6 days are the worst and then you start feeling a bit better and bit better is awesome compared to the beginning. by now i am sleeping without having to take tylenol pm and i am waking up feeling better. dont get me wrong it is still hard but it is nothing like those first few days! you should know you are doing GREAT and you are NOT alone! it DOES get better! good luck and keep posting! crystal
Welcome to the forum, cassmax
and congrats on your clean time :)
there is a private journal that would be interesting for you because it is a sort of thread meeting point for many people quitting tramadol....they met there and help each other ..

or stay here posting and telling us how you are doing, you are not alone and this is a very good place to find support. :)
Welcome to the forum.
Tapering from tramadol must be done under medical supervision or you will only end up with further seizures.
Does your GP know about your current tapering schedule? because going from 20 to 8 in four days sounds far too fast to me.
You shouldn't need private treatment. It's all available on the NHS.
If your doctor doesn't know about the speed of your tapering schedule, you should stop tapering now and see him tomorrow. Any problem with appointments, tell them it's an emergency, because it is.
I'm not criticising you at all. You're doing exactly the right thing, just maybe too fast and without enough backup.
Take care
