day 11 taper

Where do I start? Lets see I sweat out about 12 lbs. last nite in the 2 hours of sleep I got and that was after sitting in a bath for an hour. I guess it's good I sweat that out because since I have no energy to cook we have been living on mcDonalds and **** for 11 days....so I've gotta get rid of the extra fat. That doesn't help th diarreah much either. I am down to 75 mgs a day after an 11 year battle with Ultram/Tramadol.

Are you going cold turkey or are you under a doctor's care?  When coming down off your high, you need a doctor to monitor you and give you meds that will help you through your withdraws. There are alot of affordable doctors and I suggest you  look for a psychologist. They are very knowledgable and will help you with your medicine.  Let's hear back from you on how you are doing. Be strong. No one said it was going to be easy.

That is just great!!! You must be so proud of yourself. It sounds as if you are suffering a bit, but you are so close now that you will get there!!!
Hang in there a little bit longer.

I think you are doing a very good job! I think you are one of the few who may not need medical intervention! When you do that, you are trading one devil for another. If you have an addictive personality this could be very bad! However, if you don't and you just like the Ultram, you can get some help with the right dr. There are numerous things that can help and not all are very expensive. What did you start taking the med for? Is the doc still prescribing this med for a legit reason? You are so STRONG!

nope all by myself....I have promised myself that this is it and I have successfully stuck to my plan so far actually I even cut a dose earlier than planned. I have done this so many times before that unfortunately I feel like an expert in ct and tapering. Neither is easy but I have to function for my children. NOONE except this forum has ever known about this. My plans are to be fully tapered by Sunday. So far I am on track and just dealing with the side affects. I am kind of glad that the wd's are there so that the next time I want to start all over and pop a pill I can remember all of this. Thank you for listening. THIS IS MY LAST WD PERIOD EVER that I promise. Last times I wasn't serious about it just ran out. This time all my decision.

As I said before, I give so much credit to those who can successfully taper...I could never do that...I had to do c/t and only when I ran out!  Keep going singha, do it for yourself and your family....the w/d's definately are something we all want to avoid so maybe this time will be IT for you!  I'm praying for you!

I just posted this once, but this site is very unstable all of a sudden.

Just wanted to say that it makes a huge difference that you have made a conscious decision to taper and not just because you have run out. You have been very strong so far, I know you will get there!!!

I hope that your body will have adjusted a bit so you will feel better tomorrow. Do you have any sleeping aid? It might be a good thing, especially as you have to keep going because of the children.
Stay strong

Unfortunately, I think we sometimes tend to forget about those wd's when we are faced with our drug. It is like childbirth, you seem to forget after a while and that is good or we wouldn't have more than one! Can I get an Amen?! However, maybe by the time those memories fade, your appetite for the drug may be over, or at least to a point of where you can handle it. I don't think the craving ever goes away, but it can get easier to turn it down. Can you imagine going to your dr. and him asking if you need a script for this, and you actually turning him down?! I think it is good practice to let your doc know that you wan tot avoid it so he doesn't ask. If you don't want to tell him you had an addiction problem, tell him last time you took it, it gave you a horrid rash and you would like it put on your allergy list. That will avoid having to turn it down, which can be hard.

Wow...I'm really looking forward to the day I can get to where you are. 75mg/day after 11 days looks like a huge accomplishment. I'm only in my first week, but I think that this week will be easy since I pretty much went from a free-for-all to a schedule, without reducing the mgs very much. I think it will be much harder once I get to the point that you are at, so I admire your courage and strength. You are an inspiration and I thank you for your help.

Does your handle imply you are from NC? What part? You don't need to tell me your exact town, just tell me what you are close to...

I've lived all over the state and we're currently living in the western half. And we travel to see family on the coast fairly often.
