They can last anywhere up to a week or longer. It depends on the person, DOC, length of time on that drug, how much you were taking. Alot of factors. The worst is about 5-7 days, then it should get better with each day, not great, but tolerable. Look up the Thomas Recipe. It is a home detox remedy. Many people swear by it. Good Luck and feel free to post and ask whatever you want to know.

Finally we chat. How nice. I have many posts to and from you, you are one of the special ones.

Never feel embarassed. I have relapsed many a time. The good news is that you are back.

Have a great weekend neighbor..lol

After being on dilaudid for 8 years I have been without the drug for 6 days. Withdrawls are awful, lots of leg pain, muscle and bone, also tiredness, and foggy head. Doc has prescribed an anti-inflamatory drug with prednisone, and also suggested ibuprofin. how long do these withdrawl symptoms last??
thanks

Heloo again.

Lisa, I have seen you around for the last week and a half. I read your story and I was just heartbroken for you.
I have posted back to many of your posts.
We seem to just keep missing each other.
Anyway, I hope you see this. You have a lot of support here, I just wanted to let you know that you have one more person praying for you as well.

Take care.

Good Morning. Congrats on day 3! After all you have been through, that is such a huge accomplishment!
I admire you for being able to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go forward. Again, it's huge.

I know the withdrawls suck. I am in the same boat. But you don't have far to go (physically) and you have a lot to give so hang in there.

BTW, I am about 2 hours north of you in The Poconos!

If I don't see anybody, you all have a nice holiday. Be careful and be safe!

God Bless, Bonnie

COngrats to you Amy. Day 8 is great and it will keep getting better. As far as w/d goes, it is different for everyone. The last time I detoxed and made it almost three months, I remember the first few days weren't that bad at all, then the next two were pretty bad, then it subsided a little. By the second week, I had the worst RLS ever and could not sleep. Everyone experiences something different, and believe it or not, alot of it is mental...Good luck...

I am acutally in Phila, PA. Its a beautiful day here and I am stuck in work. But, the weekend holds promise and I am determined to get through the toughest days of w/d. Other then that, no real "Fun" weekend plans. How about yourself? I have a friend that lives in Lansing, is this near you?
