Ive battled with methadone along with other various opiates for the past 8yrs on and off, mostly on. This last time around I was up to 140mgs methadone/daily before I decided that enough was enough. Over about 6months I tapered down to 30mgs a day before the sub doc convinced me to go the suboxone route. It wasnt easy coming off of suboxone and I dont recommend it unless you've really exhausted all other means of recovery. Ive been off of sub for just over 100days now and I really feel like Im finally smart enough to stay away from the drugs. Take care.
as long as you dont buy into that bullcrap you'll be alright.you never stay on these meds forever,i dont care what any one says.we are the ones that ultimatly suffer when they pull the plug.as far as i'm concerned the worst thing ever to be invented is methadone.it's the most addictive drug made in the 20th century and suboxone is probably the lesser of the 2 evils depending on who you talk to but they are both like walking around with handcuffs on(liquid handcuffs)
I have NO idea why some places tell you that, because there are plenty of people who have been on methadone or sub and they are now completely drug free.I'm one of them.I was on methadone, just celebrated 11 months clean yesterday. There are many people here who have gotten off of both also.
