how to get off the buprenorphine

if i get methadone for 15 to 20 days with dose of 2 ml an i get on 1 ml per day do i get off the buprenorphine, Because i take buprenorphine for 1 year and i wont to get clean of all and than again take buprenorphine to get off the methadone from my body my question is that a get effect of this program if i do it. Please ensure me how is know that will help me.Thank you

HI i agree with the above posters your going to wind up on a merry go round and you eally dont want to go from a half antagonist to a full antagonist to get off it it would be counter productive besides the withdrawals from methadone are a lot more sever then sub....I think what your looking for here is a get out of jail free card and there isent one you just going to have to bit the bullet and go threw the withdrawal we have recently had 2 members come off sub at 2mg and both had mild withdrawals but sub is a funny drug I have herd of people taking it down to crumbs and still go threw major withdrawals its a crap shoot you wont know till you try it let us know how this works out for you good or bad it helps us help others good luck and God bless.......Gnarly

Sounds like your setting yourself up for a merry go round. Go see a doctor to get off the subs. Methadone is not the answer, you just can't swith back & forth, your setting yourself up for major withdrawals.

I agree with Vicki. You won't make any progress going back and forth like that. The sooner you realize that there is no magic pill to beat withdrawals the sooner you can start working on your recovery. If there was a painless way to get clean everyone would know about. One of the main reasons we are addicts is due to exactly what you're are wanting to do and that is self medicate. Get with a doctor and have him help you taper off the bupe.

This sounds like you'll just be going in a circle.  Ask the doctor to taper you off the Bup
to get to the point where you just stop it. That way,you can eliminate taking the Methadone and get this whole thing over with a lot faster.
