morphine and 6wks. pregnant

I am 6 Weeks pregnant and have been suffering from terrible migraines. I was given 30mlg. Morphine which I took for about a week, did I put my baby at risk? I'm terrified, please help put my mind at ease.

Hi Camdybear, and welcome! Congrats on your pregnancy! Were you given the morphine by your doctor? Did they know you are pregnant? Was it 30mg for the whole week, or per day?  We are not doctors here, so it is very important that you discuss this with your doctor! Please keep us posted on how that goes! It was given by my doctor, 30 mlg. A day, but we didn't know I was pregnant. So I'm hoping all is well. Thanks!

Talk with your OB about this and he/she will be able to help calm your fears.  You werent on this very long which is a real good thing.  Is this your 1st baby?

Yes this is my first. Which is why I'm so concerned about everything. getting pregnant was a miracle. Last year I had a 6lb. Fibroid tumor removed from above my uterus, the doctors said I would have a hard time conceiving or maybe not be able to. 7 months later i got pregnant while I was on birth control! So this was a surprise, and a wonderful one! I had no idea I was pregnant, I had my period and was on the pill, so my doctor prescribed me the morphine because we had no idea, he saw no harm. I was on it when I found out I was 6wks. 2 days Than stopped taking it.
