If you go to your Dr and be completely honest with him or her, there are many different med they can give you to help with the withdrawl. One cheap one is ativan if you use it rite it will help out a lot. Most Drs dont have a big problem with it.
Suboxone is a very expensive medication, retailing at roughly $6 per pill. There is another alternative called Naloxone or Naltrexone that can help curb the cravings without the opitate. If you're intent on starting suboxone you need to find a Dr. @ www.suboxone.com. In order to start you'll to be in mild to moderate withdrawls (about 12hrs depending on your current dosage)
I was prescribed to Suboxone, and like worried878 said...the doctor must have the credentials and have taken a class and passed to prescribe it. Again, like I always say...it is VERY VERY EXSPENSIVE! Try cold turkey before trying Suboxone. If that doesn't work out try the Thomas Recipe...(it is listed on this cite.) Suboxone is also a part narcotic and you will get addicted to it too. You have to wean yourself off of it also. Good Luck, and KEEP POSTING HERE! THIS IS A GREAT FORUM FOR ADVICE AND HELP!

well..first off he has to have the credentilas to prescribe suboxone as not all doctors can...u can go to several sites and check and see if ur doctor is a sub docotr...or u can ask his office if he can prescribe sub...and most doctors will prescribe it if they can as that is why they took the course required to prescribe it..sub is expensive and is only a tool to get clean as it is addicting as well....what is ur current daily dose?
