Without money or good insurance, you're going to have to do it the hard way. Coming down a few miligrams at a time, and then hoping your primary provider will give you the couple of prescriptions you need to get through the worst of the withdrawal. plan for the possibility that when you get off, you'll have to stay home for a few weeks. That way, you don't have to give up and go back on just to get into work.
Try soberiety.com. They have a number of people out of taper/in taper. They've got good advice for people in your boat.
You might want to ask your doctor about suboxone
Greetings, there are many supplements you can take while you are getting off the Methadone...Google Methadone Withdrawal and you will find several sites to assist you. Good luck with your quest to be FREE. Blessings, Sparkle Plenty
Very slowly... Going down 1-2 mgs a week or 5mgs a month is what I hear is best..With methodone slow is best.. the long half life should make it easier but will also make withdrawls bad if you don't taper slow enough.
Good Luck to you.. ask if you have any questions..
