Thanks. Everything you said is true. He said he was willing to go into a rehab treatment only if I accompanied him, but the next morning he blew up over a shirt that he misplaced and blamed me for losing it. he focused the entire day on the shirt, called me names and I had to say goodbye for like the 6th time.
Finally.
Thanks again :-) to all who answered with advice.

Yep, sounds like he's lying and it only gets worse... He will only stop when HE wants to...
Yes he is. And he will not stop until he wants to quit. He will need help to do this. And it might not work: my own brother has had problems with meth for over 20 years now. He has been to rehab after rehab, gone to jail several times, and been subjected to random urine tests. Meth has the patience of eons. It will wait in your head when you quit (or try to quit). Then it will reach out and OWN you again as soon as you get a chance to have more meth. It's AWFUL. My brother is now one of those 'twitchy' people who talk too fast, try to do too much, and does things that don't make a whole lot of sense WHETHER HE IS HIGH OR NOT. I hate to be a doom-sayer here. I just want to be truthful. Your friend will not just stop because you told him to or because you want him to. All his goals are centered around where his next hit is coming from. If he is not willing to attempt an intensive and long (usually it's 30 days or 90) rehabilitation, his behavior will continue. It's not about you, at all. It's all about the meth. I wish you well in making the hard decisions you must now make about your friend. - Blu
