sever pain question

Ok so now that I will be on sub soon.  I'm worried about my pain levels.  I'm 31 had back problems since 27.  Severe pain and problems.  Several outpatient surgeries and I'm sure more to eventually come.  My concern now  - after the treament and w/d etc - what can I do for pain?  There HAS to be some meds that are strong that are not addicting  right?  Just curious if anyone had this problem that got on different meds that now how the pain...at least on the bad days..

suboxone is used for pain.  In fact any doctor can prescribe it for pain.  I've found that it doesn't take care of my pain but motrin and other over the counter stuff works just fine now.  Once you stop polluting your body with the junk, it will recover enough to start taking care of itself.  The pain isn't nearly as bad as you probably think it is. The brain plays tricks on you to make you think you need the meds.

hey there .. suboxone is used for pain mgmt also .. that's also another reason i decided to start it .. i had 2 surgeries for herniated discs and i have a slight bulging one in my neck  -  since being on the suboxone, i don't notice that my back bothers me hardly at all anymore ... when i started the sub i told him i wz there more for the addiction than the pain .. i figured if i had to deal w/pain then so be it .. but it definately does help ... NOTMENOW is also using the suboxone for pain mgmt for his back and also said it has really helps him.....I'll be thinkin about you on sunday and monday. Definately post on monday after your appt to let us know how you're feeling .. Peace!
