sub vs meth

Today i started suboxone waited 7 hours in dr. office trying to get right dosage. I was taking 600mg of morphine daily for 4 years.  I been off all opiods for 48+ hours and  I feel like ****  now and I feel that the suboxone not even working.  I also feel that the dr. didn't dose me right. I taking 8mg of suboxone. Everyone swears by it I hate it.  I want to feel better but if not in 3 days i feel I have to start back on my drug of choice or start methadone.  I want to be on the right path I don't want to waste the $250 I spent on the suboxone visit today.  PLease can some one HELP?????

I would rather use methadone im on 360mgs came down from 570mg, sub works for some. Methadone is stronger then the Sub, With your use of the MORPH noway you should start on Sub, This is just a personal info not ment or used for prescibing.

Im not sure how long its been since your dose of suboxone, but it always took me about 1hr before I would feel its effects. I was on methadone before going to sub, tapered down from 140mgs-30mgs, then started at 8mgs/suboxone. Im not really sure how methadone compares to morphine milligram wise, but if it doesnt help then talk to your doctor about adjusting your dose. You cant expect to feel great, but it should hold off the w/d's and cravings. I can tell you from my experience methadone w/d's were harder to deal with than suboxone, not to say sub was easy, but methadone is tough to kick. yeah 8mg for a 600mg morphine addiction may not be enough.I would call and let the doctor know you are still in WD I think if they could get your dosage correct you would feel a whole lot better.Let us know how you are doing .
