I've said this before it really concerns me how addicts get monthly scripts of subs when most find it difficult to control apiates. A system like the UK where you go to the pharmacy daily is better. That also stops people selling them for their DOC. I'm really glad we can't get monthly scripts here as i would find that frightening.
Not having a go or anything, just my opinion.

That sounds like a lot of subs you're on n with all the other stuff you're on, does sound concerning. Can you not visit another doctor n talk to them about help in reducing because going ct wont be pleasant n cold turkey from benzos can dangerous.

I was on Subutex for about a year.  I went down from 8mg's a day to .05mg once a day at night. It was just a speck.  Then I quit.  Four days after I quit it was like Pearl Harbor.  I thought I was going to die.
You are on A LOT of subutex.
What cured me is a doctors plan of large amounts of vitamin C.  30-50 grams a day. You will be cured in 20 minutes. If you can see a doctor and do the vitamin intravenously . . . go for it!

And weaver is absolutely correct... A Suboxone doctor should know waaaaaaay better than prescribing a benzo with the sub. It's a tragedy waiting to happen.

Can you reach the doctor to find out why your Suboxone wasn't called in? Maybe it was overlooked? That is a VERY high dose of Suboxone to just stop, and Suboxone is a longer withdrawal than the other opiates. When I was on Suboxone my doctor had an emergency line, can you call the number to see if yours does? ... Thinking of you...

I am sorry for what you are going through. This doc sounds like He is not very competent.   Could you check into inpatient ?   I think that would be great for you and I bet that you would actually enjoy it and even be somewhat hesitant to want to leave on the release date.

I wish that the people who are on sub and the people who are planing on it as a long term option would read this post.  The truth is we have to get clean before we can get better and unless we are only figuring on living another couple of years then the sub route is just going to postpone the withdrawal and prolong  the damage.        Hang in there friend.  Lots of good people here

That's the problem with opiates, they all stop working on the pain, even subs, which is a very strong opiate. It's part synthetic and part natural, but it is an opiate. Doctors, even those who want to help, don't seem to get the info they need to use this drug effectively, though there are many who do. You are on an unrealistic dose for example. You are taking so much, some of it is not even having an effect, it is only putting unneeded toxins in your body. The other thing, valium and soma should not be used with subs. Benzo, buprenorphine mix is a recipe for death. It sounds like this experience is pushing you to educate yourself, that's good. So what are your options? Can you get more subs soon, I would suggest you taper down to a lower dose. Going CT at 32mg a day is a bit much to ask of anyone. Don't blame you for being mad, I am too. The fact is, doctors take an 8 hr class and pay $10,000 to be able to prescribe subs. So you can see, little education, lots of money, and they set out to reap the reward and refund that cash. Lots of doctors genuinely believe there is not withdrawal, it's all in your head they say. Well, forget them. Lets look at what we have control over and get you stable. When can you get more subs you think?

i was told 4 years ago, that i may be on the medication for life, because i have chronic pain anyways at first it seemed to help me, i never looked into the negative side effects or the withdraw i was under the assumption id have no worries with withdraw, well, my liver is shot, as to hear mt physician tell me 3 weeks ago, but my sub doctor showed no concern, now lookin back im just a number! my money i pay them over 4 hundred a month and im also prescribed valium ans soma from sub, doc so, as of now, im shocked scared, mad is not even the word, like why, why not tell someone this, i originally thought that it was a mirical pill, so it took all pain, i could see clear, i was normal in a few minutes, was coming off oxy 80, been on them 6 years, so yeah my tolerance had built so high, i laughed at the thought of anything saving me, but i found hope in this suboxone. im not in a position as im strong enough to just stop cold. my doctor has never pulled this i have learned a lot though

Are you waiting to get another script? That's a real high dose to CT. All your symptoms are normal, you are not going crazy. Make sure you stay hydrated and get some protein shakes if you can't eat. You really need nutrition and time to heal. Try to walk and move around as much as you can, keep as distracted as you can. I watched movies and don't even remember it, but it passes time. Music and hot baths calm the nerves. A bath as hot as you can stand it with epsom salts is really helpful for cramps. Mag/Cal/Zinc help with the restlessness. So what it your long term goal here? Get more subs, get off the subs, or what? Give us a little more info so we can help more. Just want to let you know that you will be okay, maybe not feel okay, but you will BE okay. Hang in there.
